Of course, Quetzal looks for a friend in the Phoenix group first. Birds of a feather stick together. Quetzal firmly believed this. But the king had told her to mix with the other races. Quetzal bounces on her toes in the middle of the groups, looking back and forth between the other races, trying to decide. Quetzal finally squares her shoulders, stops bouncing, and strides towards the elf group. She had decided to take to the race she is most afraid of first.
