I hang back and let him get ahead to help protect his back, I was not going to let him die.

I insert them and open the gate, hurrying him in and getting in myself before shutting the gate and locking it.

You managed to get in but a zombie arm prevents you from closing the gate properly. Mark holds the gate closed with a foot waiting for you to take care of the problem.

I use my bat to whack the zombie arm off or hit the zombie in the head to get it to stagger away.

Your hit breaks the zombie's arm, but doesn't make it fall off. It was enough though for Mark to be able to close the gate. Panting he stepped back the injured man still hanging from his arms. "Lock it back, I'm going to start up stairs."

I nod and quickly insert the key and turn it. shaking the gate to make sure it locks well. I look down at the baby to make sure it's alright.
