I head to the cotton field.

Rhoda lifts a eyebrow, but hands it to you.

"Of course," she says, as she hands it back, "if I had a piece of gold, I would keep it safe, too."

You quickly take it and put it in your pocket. You are ready for your journey, do you:

Keep going through the jungle?
Or head all the way back the way you came?

You stumble down the stairs, but half way down you stumble. You lay against the wall, and hand the piece of sunstone to Arashi.

"Keep it safe." you whisper.

Arashi licks it off your hand, and pushes it under his tongue.

You wake up. Your heads throbs. You can't see anything. You realize you have something over your head, and you are moving. But then, everything is black again.

The second time you wake up, there is nothing over your head, and you are not moving. It is dark, and you are laying on something cold. You sit up, and you feel sore all over. You are in a metal cage in a room, but in the left upper corner there is a open door with light coming out of it.
You see another cage near you, and Arashi is laying in it. You call to him, but he just lays there.
You realize the only thing that you have is your clothes. Everything else has been taken. You look over at Arashi and see all the packs and everything have been taken off him too. You wonder if he still has the piece of sunstone.
You hear footsteps and voices coming into the room, and you quickly lay down and pretend to still be asleep.
Three male Sylestians stop to stand in front of your cage.

"This is her?" one asks.

"Yes." says a second voice.

"I dont know much, so fill me in." the first voice says.

"So, our Lupora picked up the sunstone energy that was on her and her pet. We followed them for a couple days and finally caught up with them. All we know about her is her name is GaSella, and she was trained as a Savi. She bought the Lighira several days ago, and we asked the seller from the kennel, and GaSella asked specifically for a pet that can track. We think she was looking for the sunstone." the second voice explained.

"Like us." said the first voice.

"Yes, but we think she was just relying on what all she had heard about it."

"Unlike us." the first voice said, "but how you explain the sunstone energy all over her and her pet?"

The third Sylestian stepped in. "She had to have come in contact with the sunstone in the last few days, Sir."

"But that is impossible!" the first Sylestian exclaimed. "We have had the sunstone for the last month!"

"Yes, Sir," the third voice said, trying to calm the first, "we think she had, or has the piece that is missing."

"But we searched her and her pet three times over, and found nothing!" the second one said.

"But our Lupora tells us the energy is very fresh, fresh enough to have had it just a couple minutes ago!" the third said.

The first Sylestain groaned. "Dimwits! That means she still has the piece, you just didn't look hard enough! Go get the Lupora!"

The second Sylestian ran out of the room, and you opened your eyes a little. The Sylestian came back with a huge Lupora on a rope.

"Synn, find the sunstone piece!" the second Sylestian commanded the Lupora.

The Lupora paced over to your cage and sniffed through the bars. The third Sylestian read the signs the Lupora gave, telling how strong the scent was.

"Synn says the energy on her is at least a day old." the third one said.

Synn paced over to Arashi's cage and sniffed, then looked back at the third Sylestian.

"Synn says the energy on the Lighira is fresh!"

"Then the Lighira must have it!" the first one said.

"But where? We checked everything!"

"He could have swallowed it. Just cut him open and find it!" the first one stalked out of the room.

You panic. You see Arashi move a little, like he was waking up, and you notice that your cage door is not locked. The second Sylestian has a knife, and is walking toward Arashi's cage.
What do you do?

You head into the cotton field, and the cotton looks like it could be harvested. It is very white and poofy.
You walk along the rows, and suddenly a huge white monster jumps out in front of you, roaring loudly.
Hex is freaked out, and jumps, running back.
The monster sniffs at you, and you are almost knocked down.
The monster knocks you down with a large paw, and rips at your clothes. The sunstone piece falls out, and the monster carefully picks it up, he then looks at you, and whips his claws out at you, and sends you flying. You hit a tree and everything goes black.
When you wake up you are in a hospital. The nurse tells you you are lucky to have lived, but you will never be able to walk again.

She seems to think a bit, then brightens up. "I have just the thing! Do you like Lighiras?"

"Yes." you say. "Good, because here is the perfect one for you!" the woman thrusts out her hand at a purple Lighira. "Her name is Evening Orchid."

"Perfect," you say as you hand the woman money. She opens the cage door, and you pet Orchid. Orchid licks your hand, and come out of the cage. "Thank you and good bye!"

The woman waves as you leave the shelter. You pull out a map and compass, do you want to go north, west, east, or south?

I decide to go to the west.
