I messaged Krin as well about if we could unlock the Show off your custom avatar thread. He's not on right now though so I guess we'll see what happens. I'd love it if links to both of the show off threads could be linked. Though we'll have to see if the custom one gets unlocked first. I wouldn't though add a link to the avatar guide and discussion. It's too out of date and I fear it confusing people. I actually had Krin unsticky it recently because of it. Also the discussion part doesn't really seem necessary now that there's this nice new club you set up. <3

I've never worked on a wiki, either. So it feels kinda daunting. I'm not really sure how to proceed. I do keep thinking it'd be a better option than a thread guide though. A thread guide can depend a lot on the person who started it being active and having time. It's not so much an issue with say something about battling but with an avatar thread there's always new items. And then there's the squeeze issue. I remember that being a problem with the thread as well. I was starting to run out of room with what posts I'd saved. If we do work on a wiki though I think we'd need to get some more interest going from other people. Also, do we just use the wiki that was started before? Do we start a new one? Should we figure out who started it before and message them?

And regarding making things easier for me, I really appreciate it. I can get overwhelmed when I bite off more than I can chew.

@Savynn, Fife: I was being nose-y and read about starting/continuing a Wiki page. I am online almost all day and even though I have never monitored/edited a Wiki page I am pretty good at figuring those types of things out.. so I can help if more help is needed. I also really love organizing things.

And if you need help making threads look "pretty" I can always lend a hand with that or give ideas/tips (graduating in May with a bachelor's of graphic design... cough).

Not to butt in on your conversation, but a wiki for avatar items sounds awesome and I would totally be willing to help out with it! I've got a little bit of experience with wiki so I'm happy to help in that regard.

It looks like Rose was the one who created the first wiki, with Krin & Fai's approval - the original thread she made for it is here!

Just poking through the categories on the existing wiki, it looks like there are already categories for the avatar item groups (minus heads for some reason)! Not very many items have been added though.

Anyway! We could probably work with either option - making a new wiki, or adding onto the old one. Personally, I would lean toward a wiki just for avatar items - I imagine it would get very full, very fast. Plus that way we could make the homepage relate to the Avatar Alliance and other relevant threads!
(We would probably want permission from an admin first though!)

Thank you everyone for your support! I was looking at the wiki and saw one of the people who did a lot of work on it and messaged them. I'm still waiting to hear back. I definitely should message Rose as well to see what she thinks. I feel uncertain as to the proper etiquette but considering she started it I think I should message her to talk about it.

What I am personally leaning towards myself is seeing about getting the original wiki that was started going properly. Though it was spurred by wanting to see avatar items better recorded, I do think it would be very useful for the rest of the site, too. What I was thinking about earlier this afternoon is what if a club thread was set up towards it. And if people are interested in primarily one section then that's okay! Like I imagine people from the Sylestia Avatar Alliance could mostly just work on the avatar section but other people might prefer to work on something else. It's just a very basic idea so far. I'm not sure how it sounds really.

I was also thinking that along with a club thread to maybe organize it that there could be a thread in the general chat section to advertise it. Since it's a wiki, it would be for anyone to update, right? So if some people just want to take some time here or there to work on it then that would be good, too?

However, I'd still like to talk to Rose first and hear back from the other person I messaged. And I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks, too. Also, my apology to Fife if this is derailing the club thread any.

I do still have a worry though. And that is myself. I wasn't able to keep up with the avatar guide thread. So it makes me nervous if I can keep maintained a thread that would have more people depending on me.

Edit: I talked to Flute who was talking to Rose and she says she doesn't mind! That it's "free reign"! Btw, I do think any threads started regarding the wiki should mention that Rose started it.
