She stares after him, before continuing to chat with the male. It had been over between them for 10 years. She can't change her mind now. She wouldn't.

He walks outside, sitting on a fallen tree as he looks out to a small pond nearby.

A small child, the one Lucia was with before, comes up next to him.

He raises an eyebrow before looking back towards the pond, silent.

" I know you. " she says, staring at him with her big round children eyes.

(Fr sometimes I want to strangle my little brother)

(Can't relate :( only child)

"Oh, you do now, do you?" He replies, looking at her from the corner of his eye.

(LUCKY what I give to be an only child)

She nods. " You made auntie cry! "

(And what I would do to have a brother)

He frowns, "Your Lucia's niece?" He asks, looking down at her curiously.

She nods. " And YOU made her cry! "

"I'm afraid I did, didn't I? What do you think I could do to make it up to her?" He sighs, resting his head in his hands as he stares down at the ground. No longer looking like a king, he now looks more like a broken man, wounded and fearful of what's to come with the next step he should take.
