Avia held on to his hand as they carried her to the ambulance and stuck her in the back. Her eyes grew wide when she saw one of the paramedics pull a needle out with some kind of drug. The lady walked over towards her and she jumped off the stretcher and tried to run out of the ambulance but was blocked by another paramedic. "I don't want a shot!" She screamed and looked at Zach for help.

"Whoa, Avia." Zach said and threw a glance at the lady who tried to give Avia a shot. "Don't worry. It won't hurt, miss." The lady said. "Avia, I'll hold you." Zach said and held Avia's hand. "It's okay. I'll help you." He whispered.

Avia was sobbing and shaking her head over and over again. "Please! No, No, No. Please don't! Don't let them give me a shot." She said in between sobs. She hated needles. She looked up at Zach with tears in her eyes and she sniffeled. She hoped he would stop them. She was scared, so scared of needles.

Zach glared at the paramedics. "Do what she says, or better, don't do what you were about to do." He said. The lady looked uncertain. Zach raised an eyebrow and she nodded. Zach sighed. "I'm coming." The lady shot a look at him with a small bit of annoyance. "Avia, let them help." He said and went into the back of the car. The expression on the lady' space didn't look like she was going to give up yet.

Avia shook her head and she felt like she was able to breath now that the paramedics backed off. "No." Was all she said. She hated needles and hospitals and doctors. All she wanted was to go home. She couldn't fathem why people went to these places. They just cause you more problems in the future. She stood up and smiled. "You know what, I feel better. Will you take me home." She asked and looked down at her torn dress that was barely covering anything. She looked back up at Zach and blushed.

Zach looked worried a bit then looked at Avia's dress and almost laughed out loud. He could see the paramedic lady glaring at them. "Are you sure?" He asked. Avia sounded pretty sure. "False alarm, guys." He told the paramedics. All the paramedics started to look quite uncertain as they looked at Avia. "She's fine. You heard her." He told them and the guy blocking the entrance backed away.

Avia smiled and walked off the ambulance. She was so tempted to stick her tongue out at the paramedics. She turned and watched Zach follow. "My house is a few miles away. Is yours closer?" She asked and blushed again. She didn't realize what she just asked him till it was out of her mouth.

"Yeah. We live on a ranch. Only a couple blocks from here. Lucky I was walking by." He said, smiling, and then realized what she had said to him. "Oh, Avia!" He said, almost laughing. He blushed. "I can carry you." He suggested and put his arm around Avia.

Avia smiled and nodded her head. "I would love that." She said and blushed. Two blocks was a long walk and no one ever really carried her before. She wondered what Hatter would think but honestly didn't care. He didn't do anything and she got hit by a truck. She wrapped her arms around his neck so it would be easier when he picked her up.

"Here we go." Zach said, carefully hoisting Avia up. He was careful not to falter and make them both trip. Chasing after horses and banging on metal could make anyone strong. Strong enough to carry a girl, of course. "Is the view better up there?" He joked. He started walking to a stop sign.
