Finishing a round of sit ups, Kall squeezed himself into the cave. Lint had just woken up and started nursing the pups. Licking her on the nose as he went into the spare room, he came out with a few dead mice. Giving them to Lint, he sat by her and massaged her back when the pups finished nursing.

One of the pups, Vix, had woken up and dared stroll outside. He growled as the hatchling came back. The hatchling was four times Vix, and it seemed to start seeing him as a snack.

The hatchling squawked and pecked at Vix. The pup jumped aside but still got a bloody broken paw. He barked and growled.
