Soon she sees the city. It's beautiful- the houses are made of seaweed and twigs, and other plantlife from the area. Everything is ornately woven together, and has been done with incredible skill. The sirens are sleek and skinny, but healthy and seem happy. Most of them are a bit shy, but they all have a sort of emboldened confidence that makes them all feel strong. Many of them are brave enough to swim up to her, and many children even smile at her or say things that sound friendly.

The boys retreated with her



She doesn't return any of the smiles.

Soon they arrive at a beautiful underwater castle. It's made of woven tree roots, but adorned with sandstone and gold. There's guards at the entrance,and guards inside. Notably, all the guards are women. Which wouldn't be weird, if there weren't so many to make the specific gender noticeable. Each room has at least one guard, and some have as many as ten. Some are carrying squishy green eggs, and many are accompanied by children, presumably their own.

She hardly paid them any attention

She wondered where they were supposed to stay until the...war council. Whatever that was.

Soon they arrive at the throne room. Sitting there, her large, thick tail curled neatly behind her, is a large, striped siren with amber eyes. She's strongly reminiscent of a coral snake, and her expression is unreadable yet tense.

Mab stared at her

they should probably just wait.

She calmly nods towards her, then glances at the doorway and shouts something in siren. A few moments later, a pair of sirens bring in a chair and set it behind Mab.
