You hear something move behind you. it sounds like another jackalope

Mina intervened, "I vote we got on a hunt to see what is causing it and finish it once and for all before anybody gets hurt. But we must take precautions, it moves towards live beings."

Snowdrop nodded in agreement "indeed. We should send out a small patrol of perhaps four or five to investigate. they should be experienced and willing." Bear spoke up gravelly "However those who go should know the risks. This soot is dangerous. you observed it Mina correct?"

Mina nodded, "Yes and it almost go me too. We need to wear full body coverage, no skin exposed when handling it."

Bear nods "Keep that in mind to those who volunteer there is a risk of death." there are some mutters but eventually Luna's quiet voice broke through "What about the people left behind? we'd have to work extra hard to make sure we have enough to get through the cold season and enough for the travelling party."

Mina thought about that for a minute, "How about this," She proposed, "You can keep getting enough supplies to last the winter just for the tribe, and the party that will go out to find the soot will go a day before to catch and prepare whatever they need."

Luna smiles "yeah that should work fine." Bear looked around "Let us vote! Those in favour of the party?" almost everyone raised their hands. do you?

Mina raised her hand as well. "Now who would like to be part of the party? I know i'm joining." She said confidently.

Chaiden put his hand up and said quietly "You'll need a healer with you." Luna also put up her hand.
