Arlo met her gaze, circling the room nervously. He could barely hear her voice, the weird stuff around him blocking it.
"Hi," His pads vibrated, then he realized that he had to touch the person.
Human, he thought, remembering how his mom had taught him to turn into one. He let himself shrink a tiny bit until he was a human, a naked one, but still a human.
"Hello! Who are you," He asked, his voice shaky as he sat down, not used to talking, "Where am I?"

She seemed not to care if he had clothes or not. She muttered something about having to get him some clothes and scribbled something. "Aware, seemingly non-aggressive." she said, eyeing him. "Do not ask who I am, and you are at a lab." She said flatly, seeming not to care about much. Her blond hair would have made her look soft if she hadn't cut it all choppy but left it long.

"A lab?" He asked tilting his head to the side, looking curious.
He lifted one of his hands, looking at the thin pads. He still had them to hear vibrations, but they where thinner, making it harder to hear.
"What is a lab? Why can't I ask who you are? I'm Arlo! You guys can't pronounce my full name," He said placing his hands on the ground so he could hear her response.

She made a face. "A lab, a place that handles things like you for two reasons. One, to keep them from normal people. Two, to test on them and learn more about them. You are no longer Arlo, you are now B-4-D." She wrote something else down and then turned to D's cell. She kicked the bars, making a loud sound and causing the hybrid to wake up. Her chains clanked and she looked at Vivi, growling. She couldn't speak with her muzzle on, so it made Vivi smirk coldly. "If you behave well, and let us work, you wont' end up like D-H-3 over here. She's chained for her violence." She said to Arlo.

"B4d?" He mumbled looking confused, "You must be confused, my name is Arlo! Why can't humans see us, are we scary," He stuck out his tongue, trying and failing to look scary, "Why be mean? They probably just scared, scared of you," He comments, "Also wow, how many of these chain thingies do you have on them?"

"Shut up!" She snapped, clearly upset. D hissed at her, as if to stop her from being a jerk to him. "Rrraa!" She stood, pulling her chains all the way till she was halfway to her bars. "Skkkk!" "No, not you too!" Vivi snapped, opening the bars and stomping up to D, making her recoil and stumbled back. Her talons left marks on the cement floor. She whimpered as she was smacked on the side of the voice. "Sit!" She sat. Vivi walked out of the cell and locked the door again.

"Why you smack her," Arlo asked ignoring how she told him to shut up, "Just because she moved across the room? Am I going to get punished if I move," He placed a hand forward, expecting her to yell at him and try to slap him, "Are all humans this weird? Or is it just you?"

She grumbled, scribbling something else down. D curled up in her chains and sighed, eyes sad and tired as they watched Arlo. It was as if she longed to be chainless, like him.

Vivi snapped her pen in anger, splattering ink on her work coat of white. "...Be. Quiet. Or we will taze you."

"Taazzzeee," He repeated, letting the word roll of his tongue, "What does that mean?" He asked looking back at D, feeling sad, poor thing a ma bob.
No one deserved to be locked up, he was half tempted to try and break the bars, but he knew it would be hard. Maybe after all this he could catch them a big dear to calm them down.

She pulled out a black box thing, it had two hooks of metal. She pressed a yellow button and electricity stretched between the two long hooks. "This." She slammed it to his bars and electricity shot through them. Luke came over and stopped her. "Quit it, Vi." "No, he wont shut up!" She shouted. He took her wrists and walked her a few feet away. His expression was calm and blank. "Shhh, breath." She breathed rapidly. "Slower." She did so. "There we go, now please go give the report. I will take care of his questions. You clearly must suck with kids." She huffed, but was calmer, and marched off.
