Rhia tenses and immediately, instinctively clings to Elzay.

Aaron laid in her bed, closing her eyes tight. She dared not open them. The darkness helped though. She bit her lip and shuddered. What if tonight was the night she was taken away.

She lets her, closing her eyes to give herself a more calming sense of darkness.

She can feel Rhias tiny heart beating. It feels like shes being hugged by a child, not a girl her age.

Thats also slightly more calming.

Rhia soon calms down. Elzay can literally feel her doing so- her heartbeat slows until she can no longer feel the pulse just from hugging her.

Victoria stumbled out of her bunk, crawling across the rough floor with her stomach in her mouth. She was in such a panic that she crashed right into the bars, but through them, far below, she caught a glimpse of the giant screen mounted above the elevator, a white Furnace logo rotating lazily on a black background. The darkness was doing its best to smother the image, but its weak illumination reached out like a beacon. She clung to the bars and watched it, the sensation of relief so powerful that it brought tears to her eyes.

It was here, holding the bars of her cell like they were her only friends, that she first heard the symphony of Furnace. It started with the sobs, which rose up out of the darkness all around her like the gentle strings in an orchestra. They began as hushed moans choked back by the countless musicians that crafted them, merging together from every level to create a fountain of sound that ran down to the deserted yard below.


Jack was used to the sobs by now, shifting in his bed to face the wall

Lio and Nicote wuiclly slipped into their cell. Lio nearly getting his foot caught in the door.

Cole was back and reclining on his bed by the time the siren ended. Because....well, might as well get comfy in case he was about to die. Though he wished hed gotten to finish eating....
