Zex walked over to Claire and sat next to her.

She noticed. "...Are you okay, Justy? "

Clair scooted close to Zex and leaned into him.

Justice shivered slightly. "They're gone." He murmured weakly.

He sighed and hugged him gently.

" whos gone? "

She snuggled into the hug, wings laying behind her to stay out of the way.

"...Mom...dad." He said softly, the words barely able to take flight.

He sighed quietly.

" ...oh. " she didn't know how to react to that. She never met her parents, and didn't feel very sad not knowing them either. " um...if it makes you feel better, I don't know my parents. "

She stayed close against his chest, thankful at least Zex wasn't telling her to go.

It didn't help by much. "Oh ... I'm sorry." Now he felt like he was acting stupid over having to sit and live through the deaths of almost all his family and still having to raise Clair.

He would never do that.

" Its okay. You seem to be much sadder than I'll ever be about it, so I want to cheer you up! " She said.

She was thankful for that. This little fluff would always need cuddles at points.

He gave a weak, soft laugh. "Thank you for the effort."

Everyone did, sometimes.

She gave him a smile. " You're welcome! " she then gently kissed his cheek.

Totally. But she had practically grown up to where they where a daily thing that she thought was totally normal to do everyday. A lot. Cuddle.

He forced himself to smile back, but his eyes where tired as they'd been back in the house on earth. He'd been a bit depressed even then. But now it was worse.
