Dear journal,

It has been over a week since I have gotten a decent meal or seen home. I'm afraid to go back. I'm sure by now the hula hoops have taken over. I'm just down the road from my grandmas house. I'm hoping they wont mistake me for a coyote or something else. My cat has somehow managed to still accept me. He is covered in burrs brambles and stickers. I have no internet so my laptop is useless. So was my ipad. It was getting dark I climbed up the ladder to an old and weak tree house that was built long before my grandparents moved in. The place was small but big enough to sleep in. As the only room it came into view as I set my carrier and bags down. My cat knew better than to go too close to the edge so I let him out and closed the what was left of a door I guessed termites or the wind blew it down. I lay out my blanket and rest on it trying to fall asleep. At around 3:58 I was out along with my cat. I woke up early knowing my grandma left for work at 7:30. She cared for the elderly who could not do so for themselves. I gather up my things and put Rusty in his carrier. I looked down and saw a deer. It looked normal. Quickly I grabbed my ipad out of my bag and took a picture. When I looked closer I saw something horrifying. The deer wasn't eating grass. It was eating a fawn. I kept my silence and put my ipad in my bag. I realized I had knocked out the cat food and dumped some in my make shift aluminum cup. I didn't need to eat though I was as hungry as a lion hunting a snake. If you didn't know snakes are a cat's natural enemy and a lion would only fight one if it was on the brink of death starving. I climbed down the ladder one handedly my carrier in the other hand. By now the deer had ran off. The woods didn't last long all I had to do was walk 50 feet downhill and across a dried stream then 40 feet uphill and I would end up in my grandparents field. I did so and I was where I should be. I had walked 19 miles to get here. I was as skinny as a toothpick and looked like I didn't know there was a way of washing myself or cleaning myself in any way. I had almost forgotten that my grandparents ha recently gotten a guard dog that looked like a bull. When I got closer I saw the dog was on a chain. I swung open the door and lammed it behind me having no manners at all. My grandpa was sitting on the couch watching the news he usually was watching football and today was a football day. He looked worried as he glanced over at me. I smiled and stared at him not talking.

"Sarah?"

"pap-pap!" I ran over and gave him a hug, covered in leaves.

"Where have you been your mother and father and us and your siblings have been worried sick!"

"The hula hoops came.."

"Oh no not the hula hoops"

"I was afraid that the hula hoops were going to take over so I packed my bags told my mom that the hula hoops were coming and left"

"Let me go get grandma feel free to get some food"

I set down my bags and let my cat out. I almost forgot he didn't like other cats and my grandparents had 2 females that were fixed. I was sure he wouldn't mind. I set out a food bowel for him and poured some of his food in it. I walked over the the shelf with bread on it and got a slice. Slowly eating my raw plain wheat bread I sat down on the couch and rested.

Thats all the room I have on this page I will finish my story tomorrow. Goodbye, Journal.
