"Here." He gently took her hands in one paw and put the light in her hands with his other. "At least until we get out,can't turn the lights on without waking Clare."

She nodded and took it, staring at it.

He walked back over to the first room in the hallway. It had a black door and had a dark sick feeling wafting off of it. He quickly slunk in,closing the door quickly behind him. After a minute,he came back out. He locked the door with a key from a small pocket in his left glove then walked over to the bedroom he and his sister shared. He snuck in silently and let Clare sleep as he set up a tape recording he'd made before for her.

She looked at the door, then turned away from him.

He walked out on silent paws and came back into the living room. He shook his head a bit,as if clearing something from his mind.

" what's in there? " She asked him.

His left ear twitched a bit but he gave a shrug. "Nothing...important."

She stared at him for a moment before glancing back at the door,then turning away.

He rubbed the back of his neck half nervously and half guiltily. Both his ears dropped down.

She walked towards the front door.
