Thunder sometimes wished he kept his mouth shut. He was an 'ask questions first, figure out exactly what's going on a second later' kind of dragon, and he felt that maybe he shouldn't bother asking at all. However, his instructors in guard training told him to always enter rooms asking if they were under attack. He silently cursed himself anyway. Of course we're not under attack, dimwit. We're never under attack. He wondered if he was even needed as a guard at all.
He flew out of the castle. He hadn't done that in a long time. He would go find Nightfang, although he didn't really know him he seemed the kind of dragon who would bring you up to speed instead of ignoring you. Besides, if he and Cyrus were getting along now, he might need to apologize for Nightfang's first impression of him. I was just doing my job. I hope he understands that.
