It was not nearly what e had expected, but he was saddened at her words. Not because he felt hurt, but because of what her fear implied. It implied that Carisle or someone else had done her wrong in this past. All that meant was that he'd have to be better. Better than any that may have come before him.

He reached out, offering her a comforting embrace, ready to be turned down should she not be in the mood.
"I see. I guess I'll have to prove your fear to be quiet ridiculous." He said this with the best smile he could muster

She was quiet for a moment. " Thank you. "

He sighed, taking her hands in his.
"Well, I have some plans that I think will help you clear your head."

She smiled faintly. " Can't wait. "

He nodded, turning to Carlisle. "How soon till we reach the docks?"

Just as he said that, they reached the docks. " Now, actually. "

"Wonderful, let's go then Xolia, shall we?"

Xolia smiled a bit before nodding.

He did his best to help dock the boat, then walked off, carrying his bag off with him. He had to recover his face, not wanting to attract attention.
