Puck scoffed. "No. I was sent to the mortal world to protect her from ours. That was my job, and so I did it." He hoped that Claire couldn't see through his lies. "And even if I did, she would never love me back..."

She sees the truth in his eyes, she nods sadly. "I understand how you feel, don't be afraid to tell her." She mutters, stepping back with a deep frown despite her normally ecstatic personality. "I was just the same."

Puck smiles back at Lin before turning to face Claire. "Seriously?" He asked, his perpetual smirk gone. "Well now that you mentioned it, you have to tell me."

She doesn't really know what to do.

She chuckles, "Your a tea type too huh? Fine. I was about 14, my best friend, I loved him to death, I couldn't bear to see anybody else around him. I guess I was sort of possessive, but it went away in high school, that's when everything fell apart. His name was Jake, he and I were inseparable, we had done everything together, we were friends since kindergarten." She smiles brightly at a memory, chuckling. "But in the second year of highschool we'd began to drift apart, and I was frightened, utterly frightened that I'd lose him to somebody else. He didn't know I loved him, but if he did... We would have been together right now... I found out before I left that he liked me too, but he was with a girl already, and he loved her... A lot..." She whispers, hugging herself. "H-he said to wait for him, I-I told him to forget me. I didn't want to be the one friend that ruined any chance of him being normal." She whispers.

Puck shook his head. This was different. And then the Unseelie came. Grimalkin was sitting next to Lin. "They've arrived," he stated. There was trumpeting that grew louder, and at one end of the court, the ever-present wall of thorns shifted, curled back, and formed a grand archway. Black roses burst into bloom among the thorns, and an icy wind hissed through the gate, coating nearby trees with frost. A creature padded through the arch. It was a goblin, green and warty, dressed in a fancy black coat with gold buttons. It cast a sly look around the waiting court, puffed out it's chest, and cried in a clear, yet gravelly voice: "Her Majesty, Queen Mab, Lady of the Winter Court, Sovereign of the Autumn Territories, and Queen of Air and Darkness!"
And then the Unseelie entered the court.
At first glance, they looked very similar to the Seelie fey. The little men carrying the Unseelie banner looked like gnomes in fancy cloaks and red caps. Then there was their sharp, jagged, shark like grins and the bright madness in their eyes and most realized these were not friendly garden gnomes, not in any sense of the word.
"Redcaps," Grimalkin mused, wrinkling his nose. "You will want to stay away from them, human."

She stays quiet.

The ogres were next, great hulking beasts with thick, stupid faces and tusks slick with drool. Manacles bound their wrists, and silver chains were wrapped about their huge necks. They shambled into the court like drugged gorillas, knuckles dragging on the ground. They were oblivious to the murderous glares they were getting from the trolls.
More Unseelie spilled into the clearing. Thin, sulking bogeys like the one in Ethans closet were creeping around the ground like spindly spiders. There were snarling, hissing goblins as well as a man with the head and chest of a shaggy black goat, his horns sweeping into wicked points that caught the light. There were more creatures, each one more nightmarish than the last.
Finally, when the court had swelled to nearly twice it's number, Queen Mab made her appearance.

"This is quite dramatic." She whispers.

She stares at them.
