As you went up the tight stretch, you saw lights, however you were ambushed by Baltic pirates and have entered a battle with two ships.

The pirates hit the ship with cannon ball x1 (17 damage), circling you. You'd have to move quickly. This ship didn't have a ram fitted, but you could still ram them and enter melee, although you may take some damage yourself from it.

He knew that, in exchange for his ship's defense, he had chosen speed when he purchased the ship. He hoped the winds were on his side as he made for the port, trying to find a gap between the two circling ships.

Ivan pulled into Oslo and fell onto the port. "WOOH! That was awesome!" he said, rolling around on the dock.
