It would probably be hard for anyone to leave using your door but then again, entering it would also be a chalange with the work you had done. During the time you had took to baricade yourself inside, your downstair neighbourg had knocked the handle of a broom underneth you quite a few times in protest to the noise, tho the old man was doing it to anything he could hear realy so it wasnt too out of the ordinary.
It was only several hours later that you started to take more notice of things in your appartment. It was only small occurences realy, a glass that seemed to have been moved a little bit to the right to where it used to be originaly, the creak of light footsteps, a book that was placed differently to what you remembered. All things that while odd, could also only be explain or ignored.

It had been a few months since the deer incident and nothing more had come from this encounter. The normality of it all almost had leaded you to belive that this was some kind of dream, that none of this had ever occured. While you hadn't talked mutch to your neighbourgs asside from a simple hello from time to time, you could tell that one of them practiced woodcarving on a fairly regular basis. The walls were paper thin and you could hear them use what sounded like a saw, juging from the faint smell they were using pine wood this time.
Underneth the sound of the high-pitched whirring of the blade however, you did heard somthing, a gentil creek comming from your front door slowly opening. You coudnt quite see who was on the otherside tho they seemed to notice you, stopping all movement as soon as they did.
The object felt cold and slightly slimy between your fingers, it somhow reminded you of the feeling you would get from holding an handfull of fish scales. Once you had the strange objects safely placed in your home and that you went back on the scene, you realised that it was about as mutch information the hall would give you. Luckly for you tho, the hall only had two exit one in each direction with only a minimal amount of branching path usable. If the creature was still around there were not alot of places they could have went too. Outside of others appartements, the choices were limited to that small communal room, used primarely by a few elderly residents, the bathroom and maby the janitor closet since the lock had been broken a few months ago.
(Last reminder ping, if there is no answer soon i will asume that you are no longer interessed and remove you from the list)

As I heard the door creak open, I immediately looked over to where the door was, seeing that there was someone there. 'Hello..?' I said silently but loud enough to hear over the people next-door.

Whoever was there hesitated a bit longer before finaly entering your appartment, closing the door as a couple of neighbourgs walked pass. One glance was enough to know that you had never meet them before. A strange girl was standing bearfoot in front of the entrance to your appartment, she seemed to be about your age and she was wearing a pastel pink cocktail dress with some sunflowers patern. Her skin was extremely pale with what seemed to be a very slight bluish teint to it tho the later could very well be due to the lighting. Her long curly brown hairs were obscuring most of her face from few and some kind of substance was drawing a neat black ligne along the left side of her head.
She seemed quite startled at you being there, quickly brigning a pale hand to her face to hide her eyes. She muttered somthing that vaguely sounded appologetic under a thick accent you had never heard before but didnt show any intentions to leave as the conversation outside devolved into an absolute screaching match.

'Ah, uh, what was that?' I stared at the person, wondering why they looked so pale and what they were doing in my apartment.
All things that while odd, could also only be explain or ignored.
A slight sound entered my ears, making me wince. The pain in my back made me wake up then, complaining; I had fallen asleep sitting up and ended up arching. Slowly I stretched and every muscle complained at the lousy position I had been in for so long. "Agh, hell" I said, holding myself like an old woman as I got up, my butt and legs numb. I looked around, remembering then that I was guarding the door. The door was still closed, the chair blocking the way along with the table and furniture. The plant there in the center where I left it. I looked behind me at the living room, noticing that old book that my mother once gave me more to the right. I don't remember putting it there, I thought with a frown, although the last time I grabbed it was during the early morning, so maybe I'm just overthinking things...
When I finally managed to get up to my full height I sighed, letting go of my thoughts, and headed into the kitchen to throw away the cookie wrap and pour myself a glass of water. Something was different, I felt it, but my mouth was so dry that I decided to ignore it to drink from the cold water that I left in the refrigerator.
Silence followed me once I put the glass down on the sink. I was like that for a moment, enjoying the solitude, until the soft creak of the wood made me open my eyes, looking where I supposed, the noise was made. Nothing. There was no more noise, no movement. Enough Anne, it's just the old wood, no one can get in unless they knock down the door, I reminded myself, trying to calm my racing heart and the paranoia that caressed my temple with its cold hand. I grabbed the ends of the blanket and wrapped myself tightly, heading into the living room. What happened this morning has me very bad, that's all. I thought throwing myself on the couch. My eyes then drifted back to the little bookcase, fixing my eyes back on the old book. You're just exaggerating things.

She keept avoiding looking toward you as she walked across your appartment toward the nearest window, fumbling with the lock as she tryed, and faild, to open it. The way she moved seemed a bit off, too fluid to be normal, almost as if she was sliding instead of walking. If she was aware of you staring, she didnt say anything about it until you spoke.
When your voice was added over the background yelling of two neighbourgs yelling about some issue with pacages, the girl froze and looked up from what she was doing. Through the reflexion of the glass, you could almost perfectly see her face from your point of vew, in fact you could see what she was clearly trying to hide. Her eyes were devoid of any type of visible features, just two black orb that seemed to glisten in the light from the sun. From her lack of reaction to your discovery she probably hadnt figured out that you could see them as she seemed to hesitate before finaly speaking. "Oh... ehh... dont want to deal with a missunderstanding.... ?"

I got up from where I was sitting and stared at the girl in awe, Something isn't right here... I thought to myself. 'What are you doing in my apartment?' I asked backing away slightly.

It seemed as if the exitation had slowly died down outside, leading to one of those rares moments where the silence was truely present outside. You could still heard blurb of various tv shows playing a bit too loud in the background but for the most part the calm had settled it's grasp in the vicinity.
Tho this was interrupted soon enough by the upstair residents who had decided to, yet again, share their marital problem with the whole world. And, of course, just like this morning, a loud bang comming directly from inside the sealing interrupted them, this time however, it was only for a short period of time before they resumed their vocalises.
