"Ill take the left, Lishian cab slepe on the floor because i am not sleeping with him in the dame room." Hanako says.

Lishian pays no attention to Hanako, instead makimg himself comfortable on the nearest couch while still muttering things. Hes pulled out some pper and taken off his glasses which hes .....using to write on said paper. Its a bit unnerving since the ink seems to come out pf his eyes or something along those lines.

i stare at the kid for a second, before shaking your head. why not? "me and Eli will take the room on the right, then" i say, opening my bag to let my cat out. he happily curls up on the top of couch, leaving the cusions for Lishian.

i head to the door, swinging it open and tossing my bag on one of the two beds. Eli empties her pockets on the other bed, setting her burner phone on the nightstand beside my book. i flop onto my bed, flicking on the bedside light and settling in to sleep.

Lishian keeps on doing whatever he is doing.

Hanako waved before heading in to her room toclean up and rest. She doesn't want to be around when Lish does his ancient magic things.

groaning, i pull myself up from the bed, forcing myself to enter the living room. "we need to make a plan" i announce, holding up the map i had grabbed from Eli's bag. i march up to the table, smacking the map down on the table for everyone to see.

"lets talk strategy" i say, grinning. time to get to work.

Lishian blinks up at her. "Airehe-da cote." He grumbles, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and coming away wiht an ink-covered hand. Trails of wispy smoke with shimery particles trail from the ink. "It's too early."

"It's always too early for you, Magic Boy, now what did you sepnd all night working on?" Hanako asks, coming out from her rom. "Or rather, how much paper did you eat?"

"First off, it's effective in quick spellcasting. Second, we need all the extra help and this place reeks of magic." Lishian shrugs. "I honestly just need a quick shower and I'll be ready to go, I htink that dude Genji said something about transport so that's covered." He's shoving leftover bits of torn paper into his pockets but its clear he's addressing eveyrone present. "Uh, you and Eli have like, weapons and stuff right?" he asks Zoe.

"we have spells and our book" Eli says, as i abandon the table in pursuit of the coffee maker. to my delight, it only takes a few seconds for the pot to fill up, and all the cabenits are stocked with glasses and silverware, so i'm free to make myself a cup of coffee with the complimentary sugar packets and coffe creamers. at least, i think they're complimentary. at any rate i'm not paying for them.

"we'll probably need to gather some ingredients when we reach the edge of civilization, but other than that i've got a few premmade curses and i have the explosion spell memorized" i chime in, cupping my mug of coffee and gently blowing on it.

"Great, I'm going to go catch some of the magic in the air, take a nice shower, and pack my stuff and I'll be ready to go." Lishian grins, walking towards the nearest bathroom.

"Wait, hold up, what did you do Lishian?" Hanako asks, but Lishian pretends not to hear her.

SHe turns to Eli and Zoe. "Whatever happens, don't touch anything he comes back with. It's probably been made with really dangerous dark magic and that idiot isn't as good with his spells as the other two from his time are. His world's dark magic is.....well, it leveled a couple of continents within the span of a few years so who knows what'll happen when he starts messing wiht it, especially out of his world." Hanako shivers. "Hopefully he doesn't turn himself into an amnesiatic like that one guy did, that would not be good. Oh, and I hav emy weapons on me so I'm good here...probably."

"he can take the cat" Eli says, pulling Salem out of the bag. Salem glares at us, but obediently follows Lishian onto the elevator - mainly because he knows i wont supply him with felt mice if he doesn't. "Salem will keep him from leveling any continents, lord knows i can't get anything done with him in my buisness" i huff, giving her a reassuring look.

"alright, now lets hear about your weapons and then we'll tell you about ours" i say, before we can lose our train of thought. we need to stay focused or else we're going to get way off track.

Hanako grins. "You're looking at it." Her hair suddenly flies up and starts moving on it's own- extending to clean p the remannts of Lishian's mess, fluffing the pillows on the sofa, etc. "Plus, I know where Lishian keeps his almost-normal knife. I'll steal that if I need extra stuff."

(Hanako out here being the slightly underpowered person lmao, should've thrown in Nicote and his OPness but ah well)

"slightly normal?" Eli asks "are you sure thats weird enough? i don't think just a regular old knife is going to cut it" she says, sharing a look with me.

"take this knife instead" i say, reaching into my bag and pulling out an ornately carved dagger "it looks like a normal knife, but when you use it to stab someone it summons an ancient demon who's bound by Fae contract to serve me for the next century, as the owner of this knife i can temporarily extend that binding to you" i say, handing her the knife.

(all deranged pairs need a balance, like in mine, Zoe isn't as strong as eli as she hasn't been doing this as ling, and Eli isn't good at making plans she just kind of does things. it all works out in the end. i can see that balance in your characters)
