He's starting to feel cold. Not just chilly-like he's freezing. If not for the fact it's just a sensation, his breath would likely be making clouds.

His vision is blurring and his ears are ringing. Though he doesn't feel like he's dying, it's definitely not a comfortable feeling.

He glimpses something dark move out of the corner of his eye. By now, his ears are ringing so much he can't hear anything, and yet despite that he could've sworn he heard a giggle.

As soon as he turns to it, it vanishes. Then he sees it again, once again at the corner of his vision.
