Not that long ago, people were perfectly fine with going into the Echoglade Woods alone. The most you had to worry about was a couple of wolves, and even then the wolves had never attacked anyone and simply kept to themselves. Then, strange things had begun happening. People would find mangled corpses of ravens and crows, torn up unlike how any wild animal would do. Then those mangled corpses started becoming larger creatures. Deer. Hawks. Wolves. Bears. Eventually, and inevitably, those corpses started to be human.

Nobody can say for sure what's killing everything. But, they have a pretty good idea;

The Raven Killer. Somebody had once seen it with a raven in its mouth; the name had stuck. It was always seen from far away- people who went closer didn't come back. Some say it's just a big bird, or a trick of the way the moon casts shadows. But others say it had stared into their soul, and some even claim it had prowled after them.

No matter the theories and claims, they do know that these killings began when the Killer began showing; the connection was easy to make. By now, people are used to it- they simply have been avoiding the woods.

But now, the Raven Killer is getting braver. Stronger. Multiple people have seen it in town at night. One woman had been found mauled in her bed. There's no doubt about it- something must be done, to get rid of this monster.

Personality: Generally calm, but can be quick to anger. Enjoys joking around and takes her condition lightly. There isn't really anything you can say to offend her, and when she bickers it's because she enjoys it, not because of something someone said. She's fairly charismatic, but her conditions tend to turn people away.
Looks: Tall and sleek, and looks much older than what she actually is- she easily passes off as being in her mid 20's. She constantly dies her hair, and uses contacts to 'dye' her eyes; currently, she's got golden hair with bi-colored red and violet eyes.
Unqiue qualities: When she was little she got in a crazy car accident. Nobody died, but she lost her eyesight and one of her hands. She now has a prosthetic hand, and has a seeing- eye fox (explanation below).
Other: Her family is be rich (they still are but aren't nearly as frivolous to her because she's older). Before she lost her eyesight, they bought her a fox, because they had the money to. Once she lost her eyesight, this fox was trained to be the fox version of a seeing-eye dog.

Personality: kind, lonely, socially awkward, brave

Looks: white male, lean and buff, but not just muscle. Has black hair and brown eyes and a kind smile he doesnt often show. Spends time alone. Very intelligent on certain subjects, like reptiles, dinosaurs, and mythical animals, but doesnt know how to communicate well. Prefers T-shirts and sport pants.

Unqiue qualities: loves reptiles and mythical creatures, and knows plenty about them. Physically strong, and pretty smart. Wears a necklace with a dinosaur tooth on it. Might be ADHD, and great as reacting quickly to situations.

Other: when he was hiking in the woods before they got too dangerous, he was attacked by a venomous snake. It tried to bite him but he backed off quick, before going home, carving a flute from a pocket knife and a stick, and going back to the snake the next day. He charmed it like a snake charmer, and kept it. Its still technically wild, but likes spending time with Drake and will protect him from anything. He named the snake Kobra, because while it isnt a cobra, he thought the name sounded cool.

The first rays of dawn are just barely poking into the small town. Rino, as normal, is already out and about, her fox leading her around happily. Her fox trots over to Drakes house. He and Rino dont know each other very well, but with the Raven Killer stuff going on Rino had to promise her parents shed have somebody accompany her around the town.

Drake was sitting in his house, reading about reptiles. Kobra had left through a window to hunt. Drake didnt normally leave because of the Raven Killer, but he was starting to get bored.

She lightly feels for the door, soon finding the doorknob. She then lightly knocks. Shes a lot later than normal, actually- her fox tends to wake her up as early as 4.

Drake looked up and walked over, opening the door and smiling. *hello.* he said kindly. *how are you?*
