Zio follows him, knowing her away around as well. She skidded to a halt when she spotted dragon Riley, smiling a bit. She knew that arrogance was a weakness, but she didn't point that out.
"Yes please, as you can see I don't have flappers," She said with a laugh as she walked closer to him, studying him a bit.

"You'd be surprised at what people are capable of doing. Just don't make the Queen made and you'll be fine," She said walking towards the castle.
It was pretty busy, but they finally made it to the castle.
"State your business," A guard said with a sigh, clearly used to this.
"I'm here to talk to the Queen about important stuff," She said as the guard let her, Azrail and Austyn into the room.
The Queen was sitting down, short orange hair in her crystal blue eyes, even when she tried to push it away. She was wearing a yellow and red dress, a silver crown sitting on her head.

Riley sighs and reluctantly lets her aboard. "Hold on." He warns before flapping his wings to get him into the sky, crouching down before launching off with his paws, his tail hitting the floor last to boost him right into a nice helpful air current. He angled himself out and glides easily in the sky, soaring for a moment before looking back. "I wouldn't mind going higher in the sky, but if you don't feel comfortable, I'll refrain." He says, wishing he hadn't had to bring this human with him. If there wasn't a human, he would be zipping all over the sky, doing all sorts of airbatics or whatchamacallsit. But he had a precious load now. Or not so precious, he could just choose to flip and if the human wasn't properly seated or didn't have a strong enough grip, no more annoying human!

Azrail wasn't sure if he was supposed to bow or kneel or continue standing or what, so he looked to Penelope for guidence. Austyn smiles brightly at the Queen.
"Hi! I'm Austyn. Not exactly sure why I'm here, but I'm positive I'll be an important person in this conversation. I like talking. You must be the Queen? You're very pretty. Could probably outshine the sun, but I wouldn't think the sun would like that comparison." Austyn says cheerfully. "Please don't kill me." He adds as a cheerful after thought.

She hopped on his back, holding on tight. She obviously wasn't used to flying because she clung to him like a burr. She smiles at they glided the sky, enjoying the view.
"I don't mind, as long as you catch me if I fall," She said, though she wasn't too worried about falling, she knew she would be all right either way.

Petunia bowed a bit before standing up straight.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Queen Tulip. I don't mind talking, but I prefer to listen. Thank you, I think your very handsome too, but I must admit I think the sun would go out if it saw you," She joked a bit, giggling, "Don't worry, as long as your not wanted your good! You aren't wanted... are you?"
"No no no, this is just his first time talking to a Queen, he just doesn't want to make you upset," Petunia said as Tulip nodded, "We came to talk to you about a person named Blackout, do you know them?"
"Of course I do! They are wanted here, why, have you seen them," Queen Tulip asked/demanded.

"I don't think we're wanted, but there was a bit of a misunderstanding when we happened to be in the same room as Will as he was taken away by Blackout for opening some magic gate. We didn't do anything, but maybe being in the same room as where it was happening and unable to do anything counts as doing something? If that's the case my mom will not be pleased. We only have two weeks to find and rescue Will before we're killed!" Austyn says before snapping his mouth shut when he had finished saying all that he wanted to.
'Ta-da.' Azrail signs with a sigh. Austyn's chattiness wasn't the best thing in these type of situations. Why couldn't he act like he did in the King's place?

"If you fall its your fault." Riley says matter of factly. He goes into higher airspace after making sure no one was there, or at least not close enough to cause any disturbance.
"Hey! Riley! Long time no see." A bronze dragon somersaults in the air, knocking neatly into Riley's side. Riley balances himself before anyone could go anywhere. He glares at the newcomer.
"I thought you'd be gone for good. But I guess you missed me." The dragon smiles, teeth that were there glinting in the light. A few teeth were missing while others were chipped. Scars all the way along the dragons body boasted of battles.
"No. I could live all my life perfectly satisfied if I didn't have to see you again." Riley hisses, frill along his back bristling. He was smaller than the new dragon, who might have been perfectly handsome if they weren't scarred.
"Hahahaha. Yeah I wouldn't mind never seeing you here again either. I thought you were leaving for good." The dragon snaps, their attitude shifting as easily as a breeze.
"I thought I was too. If it was my choice, I would be miles away from you and your foolish ideas." Riley growls.
"Me? Foolish? Watch your tongue!" The dragon swings a blow at Riley, who barely managed to dodge the full blow. Only the edge of his wing was clipped.
Fighting in the air was hard and you had to be skilled if you wanted to be good. But dragons were a bit big and bulky, which is a big set back. That wouldn't be a problem if you trained hours, but Riley hadn't.
"You're the same child that left this place. You won't ever learn." The dragon snorts. "What dragon is afraid of fire? None except this coward in front of me. Can't even be called a respectable dragon." Riley knew that now would be a good time to land before his cousin decided to throw him out of the sky once and for all.
"Hang on." Riley warns Zio before pulling himself into a sharp dive, his wings shooting out to even out their fall last second.
"You coward, face me and fight!" The dragon snarls, landing next to Riley. As the dragon attacked, Riley blocked with his horns, causing sparks to fly. The dragon used their free talon to claw at Riley's throat, a low move if you ask me. Riley's talons were busy digging into the ground to make sure he didn't back down.
"I would but I've got more important things on my talons." Riley huffs, managing to disengage from is rival and turn to a human once Zio was off. Riley takes Zio's hand to make sure they don't get seperated and dash through the streets to try to loose the angry dragon on his tail.
(Hm. What an extreme family rivalry. Ah well.)

"Sounds like it wasn't your fault. Did you see any other people, perhaps one with long pink hair or one with short green hair. They are usually found together. They each gave themselves their own name but work together. Blackout, which you met. Sir Barks-A-Lot is one of the other ones of the group and there is the leader, which we just call Pinky because we don't know their name. Anyways you said Will, like Prince Will," Tulip asked as Petunia nodded, "Poor boy, he'll be fine though. His powers are hard to come by nowadays. On the matter of powers why don't you tell me why your here Petunia... or should I say general Cherry."
Petunia/Cherry tensed a bit, "I forgot about your power. Anyways I'm here to find Prince Will, nothing else. I do not plan anyt-"
"But you see, this is the perfect opportunity to get an upper hand on the other kingdom, Ritkle. I hope yoj understand. You two, I suggest you leave," Queen Tulip said standing up as Cherry went back to her normal form.

Zio huffed, but didn't protest. Like it was her fault if she fell, that only made her want to hit him. Then someone else did the job for her and she wasn't sure if she should cheer or be worried. She listens to them argue, quite enjoying herself. She kinda wished she had some popcorn to eat, but knew it would probably get knocked off. She also had to hold on as Riley moved, so that was another reason not to have popcorn. Then they dived and she yelped, clinging on as she almost fell off, but didn't. Once they landed she jumped off, pulling out her sword, about to help like the amazing person she was. But nope, Riley just changed back to a human and dragged her away, just great. She had just wanted to fight and now they where running like whimps. She put her sword away, not wanting to accidently kill someone.
(Me: *Looks at Foxy's dragon sibling rivalry* Ok *looks at yours* pretty similar... very... maybe? How come I don't have one?)

"We came here on matter of powers?" Austyn asks, slightly confused. "I just thought - okay, I didn't know what to expect Petunia - or Cherry or whatever other name she goes by - just told us to come with her while Riley and Zio went to the dragon area. I don't think anyone with pink or green hair was there, but then again, I was to busy talking with Blackout. He told me he wouldn't teach me how to use magic. And he said that he would kill me if I stopped talking. And he said that Will was needed for a magic gate. And -"
Azrail cut Austyn off as he takes his hand and steers him in the direction of the exit. He hoped Cherry would be ok and that he could trust everyone to be nice.

Riley glances at Zio, "Sorry about that. Are you alright?" Once he feels as though he's far enough away, he slows to a stop, letting go of Zio. "Well, we might try to find out where the others went?" He says, checking his sword to make sure it was unscathed. He kicks at the floor with his shoe.

"The gate? No... no way. Glacier, we have a huge problem, get over here," Queen Tulip half yelled, "You two, stay here and tell me about this gate. What did he say about it? I need to know... now."
A boy ran over, he had short blue white hair and bright blue eyes. He was wearing a blue messenger outfit. He skidded to a halt beside Tulip.
"Yes Queen Tulip? You said there was a problem," He saluted before turned to the guests, "Do I need to do anything?"
"Yes please. Get all the books about the gate, you know which one. Alert the guards we may have a code Yellow on our hands," Queen Tulip said as Glacier hurried away.

"I'm fine, not like dragging me half way across the city helped. The others went to the castle, which I have no reason to go there, ever. I'd prefer to stay here and kick dragon butt," Zio huffed crossing her arms as she watched him, "And did you have to hold my hand? That felt very... unnecessary."

(I see. *nods knowingly*)

"Will's magic being able to open it? That's about it." Austyn says. "What does code yellow mean? Does it have something to do with lunch? I'm hungry." Azrail rolls his eyes at Austyn's statement.

"I guess I didn't have to hold your hand. And I'm sure my cousin will be after us soon enough. So, the only thing we'll have to do is wait or go to the nearest dragon place and he's bound to come and attack eventually." Riley says, wishing life wasn't so confusing and difficult.

(Me: *Has epic plans*. My brain: I can't think of a plooot! Me: Fine, later... or eventually)

"Will's magic? He doesn't ha... cloaking spell. He figured out how to use a cloaking spell," She said as Glacier hurried back over and handed her a book, "Ok, listen up. I'm only telling this story once. Got it? Here we go. Once upon a time there was a pair of twins named Tippy and Rin. Rin had the power to heal anything, inflicting the pain on himself instead of others. Tippy had the power to give people his pain. Both decided they wanted to rebuild the world, so they went to the gates Furhola. They needed the power of the one who closed it, so they kidnapped a Prince named Chilly. They used him to open the gate, not realizing the price. Tippy died to open the doors... or so they thought. He was corrupted by dark magic and tried to kill Chilly. Chilly, using his magic, was able to seal them away. They say the royal line has traces of his magic..."

"I say we got out of here, I'd rather not fight today. I think we should head to the small forest near the center of town, they have cover there in the trees, it would be safe. But I mean it's up to you, it's your family," She said with a shrug, realizing her sleeves where pushing up a bit to reveal her scars and pushed them back down to hide them.

(Me: my body must hate me because I feel sick. My brain: I can help with that *proceeds to slowly crash and burn inside my head* My eyes: Ooooh, yeah, I will join in this hate Cloverstream party and begin to not work properly so words and letters don't appear on the page when trying to read! And the best part is that I'll do this at random times! My stomach: Yeah, not sure I can keep lunch... Me : And I know it's not covid because mom is feeling similarly and she was tested negative.)

"That's such a cool story! I like it. I shall share that story with others." Austyn says.

"Sounds like a good a plan as any." Riley says. "I'd rather avoid them." He walks to the center of the town.
