Jewelfinder/Sprout

Sprout cocked his head. He knew that she was trying to tell him something, but he didn't know what. Sprout stole a glance at the blind IceWing, and Jewelfinder looked back at Sprout. "Yes, deaf is correct, actually, I learned to read his scales from another RainWing named Chinchilla." She paused. "He doesn't know Aquatic yet, but he's normally pretty open, so I'm sure that will be fine. I was wondering about that myself," She admitted. "Chinchilla did mention that. Will I be able to stay with him?"

"You two are both in the Jade winglet, correct? You'll be staying with him there... as for classes, we may have to adjust schedules" Cerulean tells you, looking at her scroll

Jewelfinder noded. "Yes, Jade...um, classes?" She turned to look at Sprout, tightening her grip on his talons. He squeezed back, sending a tiny purple swirl down his arm, similar to the ones on her own. "Um...he's anxious right now," she explained, wishing for a moment that Chinchilla had come with them from the Rainforest.

"Yes, classes, that's why dragons come to this school. As long as he can read, he should be fine, since most assignments are written" Cerulean explains to you. "Any more questions?" She asks, looking around at the few other students who anxiously gathered around the stage.

Rebutia accidentally let her tail flop onto Falcon's. She didn't seem to notice though: She was too intent on wanting to learn about the princess next to her. "So how is it being high classed?" , She asked. "All I've known is being a pariah." , Rebutia explained.

"I don't have much to compare it to, but it's tough, I'm more educated than 80% of the Seawing population, and for my whole life I've been learning about foreign affairs, fighting, various problems of the kingdom, becoming queen, defending my position on the throne, choosing a proper king, public relations, it's a lot of effort" Lapis sighed. "I'm at the Jade mountain specifically to learn more about other tribes and interacting with them, especially potential heirs, as they could be my allies in war one day" she continued.

"Keeping up appearances is also hard, constantly having to look my best, wear fancy jewelry, expressing the proper amount of the proper emotion, know all the possible customs and greetings, being this amazing isn't easy work" Lapis said, not even realizing how much she was boasting.

"That sounds like a dream compared to my life", She smiled. "I have always been rather starving to death, getting attacked, or scavenging for supplies." Rebutia paused. " I've been so malnourished, I'm tiny compared to the other Sandwings; causing me to get attacked, or food stolen from me. ". She shifted her weight. Her eyes ventured dead into Lapis's gaze. "At least you can eat all you want without a worry in the world."

"That's terrible! But for your informaton, I have to constantly worry about what I eat, assassins are common among royalty, especially being a seawing, with so many toxic creatures in the ocean there's an almost infinite source of deadly poisons that can kill a dragon in a second, anything I eat is potentially the thing that will be my premature death" Lapis explains. "That's how aunt Teal was assassinated" Lapis says

"As for your poverty situation, your queen should be working to fix your problem if she's any good" Lapis said. "Of course, due to economic cycles, lack of jobs, and other various factors will always affect life quality, and there's nothing that can be done about the never-ending cycle, but there are ways to lessen it" Lapis explains her studies and understanding. "It's all about balance" She finishes, seemingly unaffectedby Rebutia's gaze, holding her chest high and snout low, as she was raised to sit in that regal position.

"Spectral, I'm over here! I found the Sandwing and Skywing from our winglet!" Lapis called over to the blind icewing

Everyone was settling into their new cave when the ground started rumbling, harder than any time before.

"We need to leave, now!" Lapis cried out, about to run, but hesitating and grabbing Spectral's talon and dragging him along, as he wouldn't be able to find his way out as easily.

"oh crap" he said pretty calmly letting her drag him sorta following her
