Bracken, The Missing One

I walk through the dark alleyways, and my blue eyes glint, seeming to pop out in the shade created by the black hood that covers my white hair. My three feathers wave in the air, their blue color seeming to glow. I get tired of walking, so I sit down, not noticing the girl with black hair sitting nearby on a crate.

Skye bent her head away from the knife and looked up at the man. "Let go of me!" she said in a demanding tone she learned form her father. The man shook his head and pressed the knife in closer, drawing beads of blood so red it was almost black. She gasped in pain as he cut in farther, obviously making this painful. He had stolen her powers, or somehow deactivated them, because she couldn't find them anywhere, no matter how hard she tried.

Dakota looked at the pale boy. Is there a reason you wear that mask? Besides hiding your identity, i mean

Dakota heard footsteps and changes into a baby cheetah. Cute, but deadly.

Sage's sharp hearing caught someone demanding to be let go. He slipped through the trees to seek the source of this voice. He found it shortly after. A girl with a man putting a knife tho her throat. He turned his head slightly so he could fix his good eye on the situation. Then he looked at his shadow that seemed to be looking back at him expectantly. Sage sighed, really not wanting tho get involved, but he had a suspicion that this girl was like him. "Get the knife," he told his shadow. It smiled excitedly as he sipped towards the man.

Dakota nodded. My family was already dead. She shrugged

Skye gave a hiss as he pressed the knife farther into her neck. She was helpless without her powers, and the man held her in such a position that if she moved she would kill herself.

Sage watched his shadow closely, hoping it knew to be careful. One wrong move, and the girl was dead. The shadow made itself one with the man's shadow. Suddenly, slowly, the blade was pulled away from her throat.
