Belle dashed into the belly of the ship, where a huge chunk of wood had been torn out. As she threw crates out, she saw something that made her blood run cold. A mermaid was watching her, stunningly beautiful, holding what appeared to be a quarterstaff. Her orange hair swayed around her as she approached, grabbing the sailor with a damp hand.

"Get off of our sea." Alyssa brought her quarterstaff down on the disgusting human's head with a crack, and she fell, limp. Blood trickles down her ear. Finished with her, she grabbed the human by both hands and threw her into the water, a cloud of diluted red pluming from around her.

Tika

Tika was swimming in the deep sea when she heard the commotion coming from above. She tilted her head curiously, wondering what it was and where it was coming from. Curiosity overwhelming her, she quickly swam up to the surface, turning off her 'lights' as it started to get brighter. She reached the surface, taking in her surroundings. She noticed the ship, which was being attacked, and gasped.

"Humans..!" She exclaimed, swimming a little bit closer to the ship.

Alyssa glared at the mersquid, snatching the human from her. "That's blood. AAAAND, trying to help a human is treason, calamari." She carried the girl over her shoulders and swam her down to the ocean floor, which was a lot closer in that area.

Belle woke with a start, gasping in a breath of water, and started to swim to the surface. She spit out sweater as she clambered on one of the jagged black rocks. In the distance, she thought she could make out a small island, but it could have been from the loss of blood as well as oxygen. Hands grabbed her ankles again, and pulled her down, down, into the fathoms unknown.

Bam! Luminesce grabbed the human from the mersharks holding her and swam as fast as possible, with her a siblings helping. She knew that a nearby vent was actually oxygen. Her oldest brothers, twins, fastened her ankles to the coral and shoved her face in an oxygen bubble. "Gah!" "Human!" Luminesce beamed. "My name is Luminesce, but you can call me Lumi! You belong to me now!"

Adrian smiled at his guard. "I will!" He exclaimed. Then he swam with the other mermaids to see what they were doing so he could copy them. "What can I do to help?"

Joyce started to get impatient. "Why don't I see things bobbing in the ocean?! Hurry and get to tossing!" He yelled. He squinted through the thick sheets of rain. Land. There was land up ahead. He saw it when lightning flashed overhead. "Land ho!" He yelled frantically. "That's not good! Look out for sandbars!"

"Chain it to the rocks! Keep it stranded!" Edenia shouted to Alyssa and her entourage. "My squad, breach the hull, make sure it sinks!" Edenia commanded her crowd

Tika

Tika watched from afar as the ship tried to reach the shore. She watched as the other mermaids tried to chain down the ship. She stayed there, for a minute, not knowing what to do. She could save the humans on the ship, but risk being viewed as a traitor for the rest of her life. Yet, she could also help her fellow mermaid allies by sinking the ship. Yet she'd be killing innocent humans. She whimpered and sighed. She followed the ship, eventually climbing on one of the rocks so she could see the humans. The wind blew her hair.

'I can't let them sink the ship. Those humans...they could die.' Tika shuddered as she remembered seeing one of the humans being dragged down into the ocean. '..I can't let them do this..! There has to be something I could do.'

"Oh Adridear, you should stay at home for training, I don't want you anywhere near these vile humans, go swim back home, I promise you can help next time" Edenia said, trying to keep her brother away.
