I stare at the river, my right wing, broken, tucked in at my side, my left wing also tucked in simply for convenience. With a sigh I examine my right wing once more, wishing for t to heal so I wouldn't feel so helpless. Even though it has been a few days, I am still coming to terms with my injury.

"It's so unfair" I mutter "It's really just so unfair that Nightbreeze must live like this all the time."

* I lay down next to the river not hearing what fang said. I look into the water looking at the spot where my wings once were*

I continue to stare at the river. Lost in thought and wishing for a way to make wings regrow and/or mend instantly.

*I wake up to the sound of a Bush russling close by. I jump up and stand in a defensively position ready to fight if needed*

I am so lost in thought that I am unaware of my surroundings, I just sit by the river, thinking.

*a big cat came out of the bushes. I stand there growling at it while fang is lost in thought*

Lost in thought, I don't notice Nightbreeze or the cougar.

*the cougar jumped at me and made me and the cougar fall into the river. It bit me on the shoulder making me bleed and I kick it in the face and bit its neck. The cougar makes it way out the water and runs off. I swim me way to the edge of the water and get out. The water around me shoulder was covered in blood. I just stood there trying to catch my breath*

The scent of blood jerks me out of my thoughts and I leap sideways, turning and staring at Nightbreeze for a moment, panting slightly. I lift my head and scent the air.
"That large male cougar..... Cyrus" I growl "He is such a coward!" Emerald eyes blazing with anger I turn towards the forest and let out a long angry howl, calling to Cyrus to tell him to get back here and explain himself.

*my grey eyes were filled with anger and fear. I stayed standing there looking down in shock not noticing that my shoulder was bleeding badly*
