A female lupora pads trough the forest, her feet making a little sound every time she steps on the brown fallen leaves. She has her head lowered, but doesnt seem sad. She looks rather.. Tired. The scent of water can be smelled as she reaches the lake. The canine quietly sits down by the water. The moon shines down, making her white fur look even brighter. She starts to drink from the lake, but she stops. Her ears twitch. She sits very still, ready to defense herself incase of an attack. Little splashes can be heard in the water before a small head pops out. The lupora jumps up in reaction. ''Haha!'' Giggles the creature. He steps out of the water, and thereby he reveals his identity. A small kelpari. ''Ooohh~! Im the water spook and im going to drown youuu~! Hihi!~'' He jokes. The lupora inspects the overexited kid. ''Not one to talk, eh?'' He says. The lupora shakes her head. ''I just came here to drink, and now i will move one. Go back to your parents. You shouldnt be out this late.'' The kelpari totally ignores her. ''Im Alon, whats your name?'' The lupora sighes and starts to walk away. ''Hey! W-Wait!'' He decides to follow her. ''I said: Go back, to your, parents.'' Alon stops, but then follows her again. She starts running and it begins hard to keep up with her. ''Stop following me, go home.'' She runs even faster. The little kelpari struggles with running as the land gets dryer. She notices him struggling, but ignores it and starts to run even faster. They run upto a hill. ''G-Gah!'' The lupora looks back and doesnt see Alon anymore. He must've tripped! She runs down the hill, into a cliff like landscape. As she runs further it gets darker and darker, until she sees 4 creatures surrounding a small horse. Alon. She runs towards them and sees that it are 4 vulnyxes growling at the little horse. ''Oh look who we have here-'' The largest one says. ''-A cute,little hatchling-'' The other one continues. ''-No mom, no dad-'' Alon shivers. ''-Just prey!'' The walk towards him, but before they can get to him the lupora jumped infront of Alon, growling loudly. The vulnyx gang runs away. ''Tsk, cowards.'' She tells herself looking them run away. ''You okay little man?'' She turns to the shivering kelpari. ''M-Meep~!'' Is the only thing he could say. ''Im Leloa.'' She smiles at him. ''You dont have parents, do you?'' Alon shakes his head. ''I thought so.'' She lowers her head. ''Y-You dont have family to, do you?'' Leloa also shaked her head. ''Then we're the same.'' She sighes. ''We're both alone. She then smiles ''But thats okay. We'll be alone together.'' |

The Assassin's assassin
Everyone feared Quronis, the kingdom's most infamous assassin. Everyone except princess Yugira and her brother, prince Kuzex. The stories said Quronis was a blurr, killing his victims in other's plain sight, yet getting away without anyone knowing it was him. Others may have feared him, but Yugira and her brother literarily worshipped him. She loved the tales of the black and green zolnixi, although she wasn't even sure he existed. She wanted to be like him, a wonderful assassin that got away with... everything. That was, until it happened.
The sun's autumn rays dappled lightly over the palace gardens as Yugira and Kuzex bounded over the emerald green grass, giggling over their last prank. They'd pranked a travelling merchant, Visol, an aerdini with a huge temper. They'd snuck into Visol's caravan and left a couple of bugs in the food cart, and ran away, laughing. Visol had seen Kuzex and had swore, before running into the food cart to check his materials. From behind a tree, Yugira and Kuzex had heard Visol's scream of horror as he discovered his food eaten out by bugs. Yugira had let out a muffled giggle, trying to hide her small laugh.
Suddenly, a flash of black and a tiny bit of glowing green in front of her, a soft but creepy laughter, and it disappeared. In front of her, lay her dear brother, blood spurting from a perfect cut to his neck. Gasping, Yugira ran to her brother's side, and crouched beside him.
"I'll get help! Just hold on!" She cried, panicked. She started licking the wound, trying to stop the flow.
"Ahh, that'll do no good," Her brother paused, coughing up blood. Then he continued, his voice fading. "I figured this'd happen some day," cough. "You'll be a great ruler." Kuzex gave a weak smile at his sister.
"No! You can't just die like this!" Yugira sobbed, burying her nose into Kuzex's side.
"It was Quronis," her brother stated weakly.
"No. Impossible. Those are only legends!" Yugira gasped, taken aback. Though deep in her heart she knew, that flash of black and green only pointed to one being. And that was Quronis.
"Possible," Kuzex gasped, blood dripping out of the side of his mouth. His eyes began to flutter shut.
"But why!? Why you!?" Yugira stuttered.
"Dunno," Kuzex had closed his eyes now. His voice was barely a whisper, and he knew he needed to do something. Please, dear god, if there is one, he thought frantically. Just these six words, just these six... He forced his eyes open a crack and looked into Yugira's glowing eyes. "I... love you... sister... Avenge me...." The prince's last words floated through the afternoon air, and his head drooped to the floor.
"NOOOO!!!! KUZEX!!! QURONIS, WHY!?" Yugira howled in sorrow into the air. This cry of anguish caught the attention of the guards standing guard some distance away near the garden gate. The two Luporas hurried over, looked at the dead prince, and at Yugira with a quizical look. Yugira just glared at them, then turned away. She heard the faint sounds of her brother's body being moved as she pelted deeper into the gardens, crying her eyes out.
Older now, Yugira looked back at the time her brother was killed. Instead of like a few days ago, she'd cry and bawl her eyes out, this time she felt something different.

Now, she'd get it for him.
Yugira looked out of her window from her tower and gazed into the sunset. For some reason, the more she thought about the legendary assassin the more she got angry. The rage flowed into her veins, from some unknown source. It ripped through her like fire, burning everything inside her, evaporating her pain and sorrows for her brother. The feeling consumed her, like a rock bowl overflowing with water, her feelings washed away. She felt her heart was melting, was pounded, cooled and hardened into something new, something sharper. It suddenly left her, leaving her gasping and wanting the feeling back. She glared around her room, challenging anyone to attack her. Soft little princess Yugira was gone. In her place now, was a creature of no mercy or empathy until her mission was done.
Growling softly, but harshly like a rabid lion, the still fuming Ryori descended from her tower as she heard her father call her for dinner. The stairs seemed to go down forever, until she caught a glimpse of neon green to her behind left. After the raging feeling had passed her, Yugira's senses felt like they were heightened. She sensed a small animal to her behind left. Whirling around, Yugira came face to face with a black and green zolnixi, grinning casually.
"Hello," The zolnixi said innocently, his grin betraying his inside feelings.
"Quronis. WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" Yugira took a step towards the small assassin, snarling and baring her fangs.
"Nothing really. Just stopping by, saying hello. Your brother was such fun to kill, you know," The assassin continued, nonchalantly. "Visol was very proud of me."
"You work for Visol!?" Yugira was about to blow her top.
"Yea, he pays well," Quronis was speaking in monotone, inspecting his ever-so-sharp claws as if he was bored.
"I'm going to kill you!" Yugira screamed, throwing herself at the assassin, tackling him.
"Now, now, let's not get violent," the assassin was taunting her as he easily slipped out from under her.
"GET. OUT!" Yugira yelled into Qurnois' face. The calm of the assassin just provoked her more. She pointed at a semi-open window to her right, on the tower wall. "You can leave now, you've made me mad." She seethed, holding herself from tackling him again.
"Alright, alright," The small zolnixi smiled in mock surrender. "I'll leave." With a harsh laugh, and a blur, the window was wide open and a small breeze blew through. Yugira blinked. Had she imagined it? No, she told herself. It was real.
Yugira stepped into the grand dining room, still shaky from her encounter with the pretty rude assassin. Everything about the palace was still the same; the dining room was encrusted with the rarest gemstones found in Sylestia. For some reason, the bright gleam of the quartz dining table didn't cheer up the gloomy Ryori anymore.
"Princess Yugira?" A black and grey Ryori who sat at the end of the table called to her.
"Yes, father?" Yugira mumbled a reply, staring at her food without touching it.
