Those who do not over breed their pets should not be penalized for those who do!!!I There are many of us who breed our pets for a specific outcome, whether it be for battle, max stat creation, or 6V (and many others). Many of us are also on a very limited budget and have to specifically save to be able to contribute to the game, but when the expendaures get to be to difficult to continue a very hard decision has to be made, Back in 2014 my daughter would ask me to give her money to purchase diamonds and I gave it to her because she enjoyed the game but now she no longer asks because she knows the Bueget we have must be kept, She now wants to quit because she will not ask any more. She is disabled and does not work so does not have money unless I give it to her, which I have no problems doing, I just try to juggle things around so that she can. I literally have to talk/persuade her into purchasing diamonds or she will not!!!
I definitely can understand the frustration of a breeding fee being implemented into the game after so long without it and I am sorry for any frustration and disappointment it may cause. However, I feel very strongly that this will be a significant net positive for the game over the course of time and will help to balance out the pet economy a bit. Coupled with additional future changes and new features, I don't think the breeding fee will be much more than a very small gold sink for 99% of the player base.
As we talked earlier via PMs, I looked at your current monthly breeding and the added cost via this fee will be very nominal for you.
As always, Sylestia is going to evolve over time. Where new gold sinks are added, new ways of earning gold will be implemented. It will just always be a constant ebb and flow as the game grows. Keeping inflation, and pet-flation, in check is always going to be a non-stop battle for me, as the developer. A game's economy (and for us, our pet economy) are extremely important to the overall health and success of the game. These types of games do not succeed if the economy is broken. So it will always be my duty to do what I feel is best to keep the economy (and again, this includes the pet economy) functioning at an optimal level.
I implore everyone to try and wait until the feature is fully released and in motion before coming to any conclusions on the upcoming changes. And as always, if something misses the mark, you know that I am always extremely open to making future adjustments and fine tuning things.

I breed alot. I have 8x 6v projects and 5x maxing atm. Today i bred 237 eggs. At 75 gold per, my breeding today would have cost me 17,775 gold. I dont feel like that is going to break the bank for many and shouldnt hinder projects. Breeding 1,000 pets would cost 75k per breeding. Honestly when im breeding to some pets that are 100k+ to breed to....... 75k to breed 1k pets feels like not alot. 75g is actually alot less than i thought would help the site with the excess pets. I was thinking more like 500g tbh so 75g isnt going to bother me at all
should also say i am so so so very looking forward to this update

Hijacking your post just to add something else.
I most likely will also be adding a second Stablehand with the release of the new Breeding Grounds, one that specializes in breeding. It will reduce the cost of the Breeding Fee among maybe other benefits. So this will give players another choice when it comes to saving gold long-term. For some, the Feed Reduction benefit may save more money as they don't breed much (or have a ton of pets). For others, the Breeding Fee Reduction benefit will save more money.

Would it be possible to see if the pets we chouse are siblings or can't breed with each other before pressing the breed button I've done that before it it would be nice to see a heads up about that.

Once upon a time, a breeding fee per pet might not have bothered me. But nowadays, I can't sit and grind for gold- my hands and wrists won't tolerate it.
Limiting how many pets can be bred to how much stable space a player has sounds like a good way to stop the few who drastically overbreed from doing so.
If a fee must be added, perhaps allow a set number be bred, then add the fee once a player passes that number? That would mitigate trouble for people like me who can't sit and grind for hours anymore.

Hello, all! I know that it's been awhile since the last update and I just wanted to share how progress has been going on the new Breeding Grounds, what's new, and what's still being worked on.
I can say that at this point, the new Breeding Grounds is basically as functional as the current Breeding Grounds, but with a ton more quality of life features. If I weren't still heavily actively working on it (meaning, constantly breaking it as I work on it and add new things), I'd probably be willing to release it. However, I think this would slow down the development process, so I'm still gonna keep it un-released for now.
I think the easiest way to share is to just show a bunch of step-by-step screenshots of what's available right now. So, here we go.
When you first load into the Breeding Grounds, this is what you'll see. You can then click on either the designated area for the Male Pet or the Female Pet to begin finding the mates.
You will then be brought to the Search Stables tab. Here, you can browse your own Stables to find the Pets you are looking for. You can navigate by Stable, Species, and Gender. For each Pet that you select, you get its various Genetic Information displayed for you to look over. I am going to select this Male Cozy Cocoa Morkko.
Now we are brought back to the first tab with the Male selected. I am now going to click on the designated area for the Female pet.
Doing so will take me back to the Search Stables tab, but now it will automatically have Female Morkko selected. I then navigate to find a Female Cozy Cocoa Morkko and will select it.
From here, I will have the option of running a Test Breed to see what their potential Offspring will look like, use the Save Pair option to save this specific Pair for fast loading later for the next breeding cycle, and of course to Breed Pets to actually produce an Offspring. As of now, the Save Pair option is not functional, so we will skip that. Instead, let's check out the Test Breed.
This will bring up a window that consists of two main sections. The top section, that's currently blocked out because it's not finished, will display all possible Trait combinations the Offspring could have including its percent chance for each outcome as well as the range of its Base and Wild Statistics. For example, for these two pets, the G1 is always going to be Carried Spotted Streaks, so it will say, "[NG] Spotted Streaks (100%)". For, let's say their Base Strength, it will say, "Base Str: 37-40". This should give players a great idea of what type of Offspring to expect from breeding the two pets together.
In addition, the bottom section will generate a random Offspring. You can repeatedly generate as many previews as you want while viewing its Statistics, Traits, or Colors. You will also be able to always view it as a Male Offspring, Female Offspring, or leave it to random.
Now that you are satisfied with the potential Offspring, you're ready to actually breed the pair. Click the Breed Pair button and this will pop up. This will give you a handy view of both the Male and Female Pets so that you can verify all of their Genetic Information to be sure you're breeding the correct pets together and that it's what you want. There will also be a section for players to apply a Philter during breeding, such as the [Philter of Enhanced Fertility]. I am sure we will be adding more as time goes on once the new Breeding Grounds is released. Clicking on the Confirm Breeding button will bring up one last confirmation window for you to approve.
If everything looks correct, you can click the Confirm button and then let the magic happen. Once it's processed, you'll be presented with the following pop up.
And there you have it! You have now created a new Offspring pet. You can click the Offspring's name at the top to view its Profile Page.
That is everything that is built and fully functional right now. Once I finish with the launch of the Summer Festival, I will get the Test Breeding feature fully finished and then start working on the Project Manager feature where players can save, load, and manage mating pairs.
Lastly, once that's done, I will work on the new Breeding Marketplace where players can set up their pets for public breeding as well as breed using other players' pets up for public breeding. Once this is done, the feature will be considered ready for launch.
So, we are getting there! Hopefully, it won't take me too much longer once the Summer Festival work is finished. Oh, and did I mention that once this new Breeding Grounds is live, all pets will have a native chance to produce Twins and Triplets? So that will be fun. =)

OMG Krin this looks amazing! please please please finis this fast XD i want my new breeding ground! <3
the part about potensial twins and triplets how will that work? will they all have same gender and traits? (going off of parents not being 6v with all the same traits XD ) more like early stages in a project where your still trying to get everything vis X'D or will RNG run seperatly for each eggie?
and with the new breeding marketplace will all pets curently up for breeding automaticly be in there? or will they have to be set up for breeding agen? (considering there are a ton of pets up for breeding that are on non-active acounts this could potensoly be a problem to get surten traits on surten themed? )
