Lady Weaver had stuffed Lin into a shimmering silver dress, the material lighter than silk. It rippled like water with the slightest movement. Her hair had been elegantly curled and twisted into a graceful swirl atop her head, held in place by sparkling pins. A sapphire the size of a baby's fist rested flashed blue fire at her throat.

Turns out, Oberon let Puck free for tonight. He had gotten ready. He was in the courtyard in a tux. His hair had been smoothed back, but it wouldn't stay no matter what anyone did to it.

The kitsune is still there, lounging on her bed. It stares silently at her.

She came back outside in a flowing purple dress, her hair curled and a rare diamond necklace hung from her neck.

The satyrs knocked on Lin's door. "Are you ready? The Unseelie will be here soon!"

Puck raised an eyebrow at Claire. "Trying to impress the handsome young princeling?" He asked teasingly

"Ha, no. I've always had a thing for purple dresses, and I thought it'd be a good time to wear it. So are you and Lin like a thing or something?" She giggles, nudging him. She hadn't realized the prince was looking for a wife, she wasn't very up to date. The second this was over she was going back to her usual fighting uniform.

"Yeah!" She calls back, still having no idea why she's been dressed up.

Puck forced a laugh that sounded very real. "Me and Lin? Probably never going to happen. She only likes me as a friend, and that much is obvious."

She nods, her wings twitching again. "But do you want her to like you... more?" She asks, her voice soft.

The two rushed in and whisked Lin into the court to sit by her father. Oberon and the Seelie court queen, Titania, sat next to each other, stiff. Puck had been released from his cage and looked up towards Lin

She smiles at Puck.
