Ash walked forward and shot fire on it again. after a bit, it was done.

Darius let it cool for a while, then flipped the crucible over, and a slug of iron fell out, the slag breaking off on impact with the cave floor. Darius lifted the five-pond slug, and said, "This should do for one sword." He repeated the process, but, before he did anything, asked Ash, "What is your weapon of choice?"

Ash thought about it, then said, *axe. you know those axes firemen carry around? i used to have one i stole for self-defense.*

Darius
Darius nodded, and turned to Myra, before asking, "What is your weapon of choice?"

Myra shrugged, and looked away.

Ash walked over. *you ok?*

Myra just shook her head. she didnt seem to want to talk.

Darius
Noticing, Darius said, "Look, keeping it bottled up won't help. It isn't like fine wine: It doesn't get better with age."

Ash said, *actually, some say wine does get better with age.*

Myra sighed and said, *i dont know. I dont use weapons. Suprisingly, I hate killing. Doesnt make me feel good.*

Darius
Ignoring Ash, Darius put a hand on Myra's shoulder, and said, "Anyone that enjoys killing belongs in a mental institution. I only kill in defense of those who cannot defend themselves. I hate it, unless it's someone that deserves to die because they did something terrible. But these people will not be kind, they won't abstain from harming you because you're a noncombatant. They are immoral. And, if people with some morals don't do the fighting, those that have none will be fighting. Then what?"

Myra said softly, *then they will die from the men on this island.*

"But if we fight, there's a chance we'll fight them off, thereby saving everyone," Darius said.
