She gave a sigh. "It is that noticeable?" she said surprised. "But, no, I come from the world of death, my mum is a valkyrie and my dad is a demon, hence why I have wings , can transform into any creature, and I fight well." She explained a bit.

Lewis-

"I see." The merman answered with a smile. "I came from the ocean myself, though I seem to have gotten lost along the way." He sighed. The ocean sure beat a pool.

"I lived near an ocean, though it was made of blood and souls, the creatures were bones..." she said thinking about home. "I don't think you would have like that ocean..." She stretched her wings and saw they were dry. "What kind of hybrid are you?" she asked.

Lewis-

"I'm a merman and a human, nothing really all that special." He said with a kind smile. "More or less I'm bound to water, never to enjoy the outside world such as you can."

Scarlett looked at him. "At least you aren't bound to killing poor people and taking their souls," she said with a sad sigh.

Lewis-

"Though how much of the world do you get to see when doing so? With no fear of where the next fountain is so you can pretend to fall in so you don't dry out and die? I would take killing over this any day." He said looking down at the tail he sported.

She looked at him with a confused expression. "See the world?!" she snorted, "I wish! Mum and dad would never let me! I have to stay put and check in on the souls we captured. Not very fun, I wish I could spend my life in a sea like you." she complained.

Lewis-

He couldn't help but laugh at this. "Why ever would you want a thing like that? There's nothing down there that is even interesting. All you do all day is swim about smelling like fish, eating fish, talking to fish, making out with fish! Fish, fish, fish! Day in day out. Your hair it always a mess and your fingers pruny. Then to top it off the humans throw all their garbage in the water for you to have to swim in, that is if you don't get tangled in one of their nets and hung on the wall." Clearly Lewis disliked the life a sea creature, yet at the same time it was all her knew.

She looked at him disgusted. "YOU MAKE OUT WITH FISH!" she shouted at him, her face going pale. "Why in the freaking world would you do that?" she looked at him with a concerned face. "I think living in a sea would be fun, like visiting the whole world, like reefs, volcanoes, islands." she said softly.

Lewis-

"Personally no I don't make out with fish, but I know a few merman that do." The man answered before turning away from her. She just didn't get it did she? "There are certain rules when you are a mermaid. One never cross into another sea filled by another mermaid race. Second never let a human see you, and lastly don't ever question these rules, they are there for your safety." He said before turning back to face her. "This is the first time I have been out of the kingdom in my whole life, and now look where I am..."
