And I recall reading some mention of using the restricted trait philters for the Scarab traits? If you have some regens from your project or just offspring that have the right conditions, you can turn the odds in your favor for getting the trait you want.

If there's a specific trait slot you want from a restricted set, what you need to do is ensure that all other slots for that restricted set are CARRIES ONLY, and that you have either the trait slot you need as a visible non-restricted trait, or that the slot is empty and there's an eligible non-restricted visible on the pet that can be moved. When the philter is applied, the other traits would be considered "invalid" because of the carries, and ONLY the one you want can be chosen.

So if, for example, you wanted the Scarab Markings. Regen or find a Lune that has a carried trait in M1, M2, and M3, and make sure that G1 is either a non-restricted visible trait, or an empty slot with a non-restricted visible trait in G2 or G3. (G1 CANNOT have a carry.) This ensures that G1 is the only eligible slot for the philter. With the right setup you can clear the Scarab traits with just four.

Useful tip I learned from Alicehearts with my Bahamut Ny'vene. Rather than rolling the risk of using dozens of philters and getting endless repeats for the 5 traits, I regenned what I needed to get the guaranteed results. Saved me MILLIONS.



And sorry if the advice isn't wanted... I've gone through a lot of projects and over the years and I've learned a lot from my mistakes; if I know something that I feel may help someone else with their projects, I share it. Especially the ambitious projects - I love those! ^^;


(On a side note, I've been trying to come up with a colorscheme for Malice - the maxed stats lupe with the chain collar. I still plan on getting you an offspring since I'll be breeding him like crazy once he's an adult, so I was wondering if there was a type of colorscheme you'd prefer? Fiery, shadowy, radioactive, bloody, 'natural wolf' with a silver chain, anything?)

I have a bunch of tagged Tyrelle's Minion Lunes that I collected last year (11 of them). I originally planned to start a breeding project with them, but became a bit underwhelmed after the revamp (_{sorry lune lovers, but I liked the old theme more...}).

However, I think it's a waste to dump tagged pets! So I'm happy to send them somewhere they'll be appreciated. Maybe 5k each? Less than that and it's probably better to release, as the market gets clogged with unwanted pets.

Also, yes. I agree. I think about them differently now.

I still love lunes and will continue to collect them, but they're just so different now. Several things changed so much and there are certain looks that I cannot get again. (old gem wing and wing beetle gene combination was a nice one, but that's impossible now)

i would not mind giving them a new home^^ and i understand the revamp things. not all themed improved althow overall trait did become more viseble. 5k each is fine with me (if others come and would like some as well you can sell to them as well, it's not that i must have all :P ) but in case needed i'm willing to home all 11 of them^^
