Four minutes before the incident

A smile dusts over Gunner's face {This day is epic!}. His smile is displayed warmly at the woman who present him with the platter of food. "Thank you." {Well isn't this just great, a home full of lovely young ladies and I haven't see or heard the science freak in almost an hour.}

Four minutes later

Gunner's ears are bombarded with a horrid shrieking. It wasn't the screaming one emits in pain, it was an acceptance of insanity, the obliteration of hope and the submission to that much much darker part of ones being were self is lost and darkness reins. It was a sound he knew well.

Thought comes in short clipped burst as his feet move without thinking turning- {Too slow}-and feeling like he's fifty feet underwater. {Screaming, She's screaming. Has to be Rinaly. She's the only one up there. Food. No time. Need to eat. The others?} A figure blurs past him somehow. {Who was that? Too slow. Blood. A lot. Can smell it. Choking on it. Barking. Loud barking. Too much! It's back.}

It only takes a matter of seconds before the golden angel transverse from the base of the stairs to the top of the double no triple flights, leaving dust in his wake. He freezes at the unexpected sight. {Another girl?} A name flashes briefly in the strobe light his mind has become. His arms and wings are splay and contract trying to get more space but finding none in the air saturated with blood. Peach skin shutter rippling in anxiety. "Kira!" He shakes, a brieft shimmy of body trying to displace tension, it doesn't work. Skin taught muscles crawling with tension he shouts a command. "Away! She needs space!" He shakes his head again though this time in attempt to rid himself of the canines clawing at the back of his head. {So much blood. Need med kit.} "Where is Lily?" He hovers behind Kira as with her body in the stairway there is nowhere else to go. Cool stone presses hard against his wings as sweat bead his brow and torso, his breathing continues labored. "What happened?" His mind briefly flicks back to the platter of food left at the base of the stairs. {Wish I brought it.}

Daylight streams in from the tiny slit window as well, though less from the sky light in the next room(bad angle) illuminating the scene, brightening the blood, bleaching the bleeding girl to a near white, shading the other woman with concern and burning the angel in gold.

(2:08pm)

Kira backs up, worry in her voice. "I don't know what happened. Lily and I came when the really loud noise echoed through the building. She's over there." She points to Lily who is just behind her.
((Please tell me Lily is still behind her. ))

Gunner backs up a few steps realizing he's nearly run over the other girl. "S-sorry." He blinks disbelievingly, this was all to much.

Rinaly regains control of herself and wraps her arms around gunner. She slides back into her room, dragging him with her. She collapses , unconscious, and still clinging on to him. She felt alone, and wanted someone with her to insure she would not go insane again, and so she would not feel alone.

I know you will hate me for this, but it really does drive me insane when there is a cliff hanger.
