Ash nodded and flew off.

Myra watched from the cave, sighed, and leaned on a wall. she began thinking about what had happened and her past life, and began crying softly.

(time skip, and they return with the materials?)

when Ash returned, he was carrying everything Darius had asked for. *hey, this is heavy.*

Myra rose and took a bit, bringing it in.

Darius took half of what Ash was still carrying, and set it down, laying it out so he could se what there was. He was pleased, seeing the amount of clay, and immediately began making a crucible from it. He finished, and said, "Ash, if you would," indicating the crucible.
(He wants Ash to cure it so he can actually use it to smelt the ore.)

(how do you cure something? does that mean burn it?)

(Breathe extremely hot fire on it. Basically, you're a kiln at the moment.)

(gotcha.)

Ash looked at the others and said, *stand REALLY far back.*

Myra jumped backwards, nervous.

Darius stepped into an alcove in the wall of the cave, bending some metal to use later.

Ash stopped for a second, took a deep breath, and shot fire all over it. 10 minutes later, he backed up. *done.*

The crucible had a glassy coating on it, and Darius stepped forward, lifting the crucible with the metal he'd been bending. He set it down near the pile of ore he'd collected, and, selecting a fairly large piece, began pummeling it with the rock-hard talons on his fingers. Soon, the piece of ore was in small enough pieces to fit in the crucible. He set the crucible back where it was when it was cured, and said, "Have at it."
