"Better than the living dead." Collin remarked with a chuckle. "How about we agree to hope for unicorns instead?"

Selkie quickly caught up to Douglas, "So which way to Luner's castle?"
"I'm not sure I've never been there." Douglas replied looking around.
A knight was standing at the bridge they were about to cross, "If you want to cross you must pay."
"When was the law made?"
"Luner authorized it a few days ago."
Another knight approached them this time but this knight had his coat of arms covered and was riding a red battle horse, "I don't think Luner authorized it."
"Says who," The knight on the bridge asked.
"Says me."

Kaladin frowed in confusion as he watched.

"yeah,no dark unicorns or alicorns either"

Douglas looked at the knight on the fiery red battlehorse, "Kane?"
The knight's armored ear twitched toward Douglas, "Move back please the lot of you."
Douglas and Selkie stepped back.

Locke did the same, gently pulling Kal back with him. "Ye know this fella 'ere?" The collie asked the wolf.

"Only good things." Collin agreed. "Oh! There's the town up ahead!" He chimed, tapping his heels to Noble's side to get him to speed up a bit.

"I think so." Douglas spoke.
After a minute the knight on the bridge was dazed and missing his armor and horse. The knight on the red battle horse looked at Douglas, "Doc is that really you?"
"Yes I'm glad to see you again Kane."
"As am I. Why are you here though?"
"We need to see His highness Luner."
"Why? As you know he is very busy right now dealing with the war."
"That's the reason we have a potential allie but they need help first."
Selkie piped up, "Please Kane this could be the difference of winning or losing the war."
"Alright I'll be back in an hour maybe less until then find shelter somewhere or make the rain go away." Kane chuckled at the last part before turning his horse and cantering past the bridge with the defeated knight's horse in tow.
"That is a horse you two." Douglas told Kaladin and Selkie while pointing to the red battle horse.
Kai was trembling behind Kaladin, Not again not that horse. She whinned as she had her head inbetween her paws.

Kal nodded slowly, looking a bit lost given the situation. He noticed Kai and gently rubbed her ears. "It's fine. I don't think he intends to hurt you." Locke looked after Kane and frowned. "Aye. Wouldn't wanna cross 'im." He muttered.

Evermore laughed as they went faster."I like this"

"Oh, he can go faster. Maybe on the way back we'll go at a gallop." Collin suggested as they arrived at the town. "The stables arn't too far off. When we get there, we can stop and eat of you'd like."
