I narrow my eyes back at the creature before sliding my gaze back down to the boy. Feeling apologetic, I quickly offer my help. "Well, maybe me and my companions could help you find him? I'm sorry for, uh, threatening you..."

You walk quickly to the cluster of bright yellow flowers and move them apart. You find the tiny fox creature sitting under the large flowers. It yips happily and dives even deeper into the flowers.

He smiles weakly and takes the little fox creature down from his shoulder only to hug it tightly. The area around him begins to fade and distort at a rapid speed, before he finally completely disappears. He only manages to say three words before he disappears.
