They gave a nod and you headed off. You could now longer stay close tot he coast and could take the main passage, or the open middle waters.

You went into open waters, where ship things were more likely to happen. You can use caution to avoid being ambushed by a pirate. After a few days, you were called to see a problem, "There are rats on the ship." you could see a town you hadn't visited yet.
