A screen set into the wall turned on, and a young woman stepped into view.
"Welcome to Biotech Labs! All of you are now Biotech property. However, you can earn a degree of freedom by cooperating with us. Resist, and you may be terminated."

Warren
"I can remedy that," Warren said, lapping at Fala's underside before starting to suckle, sucking Fala's teats dry.

Akira yawned out of boredom. Since she had been her since she was a pup, she has seen and heard this announcement plenty of times. It usually meant that she was put to work to help control test subjects that are not used to the lack of freedom.

Fala
She watched the pups lay their heads down on her tail, touching one with her paw. *When will they open their eyes?* she asked gently.

The screen shut off, and the doors on the cages slid open, into a room with walls and ceiling made of titanium.

Akira stepped out and approached one of the scientists. She sat beside them like a guard dog, prepared to step in if any subjects get unruly.

Warren
"It will be several more days before their eyes open," Warren replied.

Fala
She sat down, smiling. She licked at Warren, on his cheek.

The scientists continued speaking, giving the monologue that was given to all new subjects. Suddenly, in the middle of the crowd, an interesting hybrid of coyote and hyena started raising hell.

Warren nosed her gently, then kissed her passionately, letting her taste her own milk.
