Dark wanted to rush to his mother but he knew better. Humans were horrible! They killed his father so he shouldn't trust them! No one should. He growled at the male human.

~Theon~

Theon smiled kindly at the kits and reached out again, this time he was more gentle and quiet with the contact.
It's okay, I understand why you don't trust me. Just know that I am not a hunter nor is my... my mate. Until your mother is better you will have to trust us.

~Nights~

Nights could see that the kits would have trouble trusting her master so she attempted to show them that the humans meant them no harm.
She hopped up onto masters lap and nuzzled his face, she deliberately pushed his hair away from his eyes and ears. Perhaps if the kits coul see that he was not like the other humans in a way they could more easily understand, perhaps if they knew he had a weakness, perhaps then they might be able to trust him even if only just a little bit.

"No humans can be trusted! We know better." Dark's voice was a mixture of sadness and anger. He couldn't stop his past interfering with the reality of things. He had only know the darkness of humans and was in the dark of the good side of humanity.

Wisp~
She say the man's eyes, she could feel the connection between them. Much like herself he was missing something, though his was his sight and not his voice. Maybe he could be trusted. Slowly leaving Dark behind her she approached the human.

~Theon~

Theon didn't move for fear of scaring either of the ryori kits. When Nights brushed away his hair to show them his eyes, he sensed a change in one of them. Do you want to see your mother? he looked down at Nights and spoke to her, Could you get Ase to move away from their mother?

~Nights~

With a nod Nights drifted over towards Ase and gently began nudging her away from the table and over towards a chair. Like a pet asking her owner to sit so she could lie on her lap, Nights looked up at Ase and mewed softly.

Dark shook with exhaustion and collapsed. He curled up and closed his eyes. He fell asleep.

Shadow moved slightly. She tried to sit up.

Ase~
She was slightly confused yet did as she had been told. She walked over to the chair and sat carefully. What possibly could it want?

Wisp~
She looked at the human before sniffing him. He didn't smell like the others at least.

~Theon~

Theon held out a hand carefully for the little ryori, See, I'm not so bad. Come on, let's go see your mother.

~Nights~

Nights settled herself on the woman's lap and watched her master with interest. It seemed he was beginning to become more comfortable using the power he had inherited. She was so pleased that she began to purr. They grow up so fast...
