"Not like you could sneak in without someone or something alerting us but yes." Nightfall agreed.
"What if we got to work now instead of waiting?" Ruby tapped her foot impaciently.
Reaper growled t the thought of Knuckles and Ruby working so close together.
"Father you said part of being a Wolf Hunter is knowing who your allies are and Knuckles is one of them." Ruby looked at her father.
Reaper stopped growling, "Fine but I am helping you in the forge as well."
Ruby started to walk toward the forge which was in the oppisit direction of the house. She stumbled and Reaper caught her, "Are you sure you want to do this as sick as you are."
"Determination, valor, intellegence, loyalty and never harm the innocent." Ruby reminded her father of the Wolf Hunter's principals.
Reaper nodded and kept walking.

As Knuckles followed them, he took the bundle out from under his arm and passed it to Ruby. "Open it. I found it on one of my prospecting trips a few months back. Needs to be sharpened, but I think you'll like it, anyway."

"Thank you." Ruby opened it and whistled.
Reaper looked over the blade and looked impressed, "Where did you say you got this?"

"In a desert temple somewhere." He said with a shrug. "Don't remember which, though. I was surprised it was so well preserved; I thought it was brand new when I first saw it. It's sturdy, too."

"Desert temple." Reaper muttered, "Thank you for telling me."
"Can we please get to work now at this rate it will take all day to finish." Ruby said a playful tone in her voice.
"You remember how?"
Ruby nodded, "Never worked with this type of blade before though but it's similar to grandmother's so it shouldn't be that hard."
Ruby sat down on a bench in the forge, "Hand me the base please Knuckles it is on the wall."
There were three different bases for sycths on the wall plus countless ohter bases for spears, staffs, and so on.

"....Which one?" He asked.

"The one with the wolf standing on the rock. That is my symbol." Ruby told him.
"The one made out of balsa wood." Reaper added.

"Got it," He called, picking it up and bringing to over.

"Thank you." Ruby took the base and fastened it to the blade.
"Test it outside." Reaper told her.
Ruby walked out and tested the sycth, "Off balance need to switch the bases."
"Balsa wood doesn't work try oak."
Same result.
"Umm the only other base that would even come close is ironwood."
"Ironwood? No one has used ironwood in years for a base not even grandmother and she is legendary wolf hunter." Ruby spoke.
Reaper nodded.

Gang looked at Ajal thru the small window that they always had.Hospitals always made him feel,odd.He picked up a book,The lunar family..."Huh"
