Shade laughed softly, he remembered when Justice had first had a crush on the real Linda. "Wow~, you guys really feel it huh." He said, meaning he was a bit shocked the feeling was fully felt still, he was still shocked at his own emotions for Akira.

Clair sorta hid her delicate muzzle in Zex's chest a bit.

He let her and nodded to Shade.

"Nice." He said chilly with a nod. "Might wanna keep from hurtin' the girl, or you might have to deal with an annoying fluffy brother of hers if he's not a threat."

Clair held onto him. "He would never." She mumbled.

" I wouldn't hurt Claire. Ever. "

Shade said nothing for a moment, eyes sad with a memory despite his smile. A memory of his life before, of his brother. Saying something similar, that he'd never hurt Valore ... . But look what happened. Sure kept that promise. "Good." He forced himself to say with a nod.

Claire smiled, but she glanced at Shade. "Shade? What memory is it?"

"I'm fine, si-...Claire." He said, stumbling over the word sister a bit and having to change it to Claire.

" ...you okay, Shade? " He asked.

"Me? Heck ya', I'm dead. What could be worse?" He said, shrugging.

Clair sighed, speaking softly to Zex. "He has memories. I don't know exactly why but I know he's had a life of some sorts of other. I do not understand fully but he does have memories that cause..." She put a paw gently over where Zex's heart would be. "Pain."

Zex nodded, looking at Shade with a bit of sadness.

Shade didn't look back at them, not just sad due to memories but also sad because he knew that Akira mostly loved Justice. He knew he was just a side one, an extra to be used when needed. "I think I'll take a walk." he said softly, then started walking back over toward where the exit was. He was muttering softly to himself a bit.

Clair watched him sadly. "He's so sad sometimes, but he doesn't let anyone help." She said softly, eyes showing she'd tried to help him before sometimes but of course back then he'd refused help from anyone. Especially her.
