she kept her focus on the pulse, to make sure he didn't die in his sleep.

She was clearly very excited at the prospect of that, smiling happily and snuggling more against him.. Her tail wagged faster.

His pulse stayed calm and strong.

He hugged her tightly.

she sniffled quietly.

"Maybe once Justy is all better he will say if for sure!" Clarity said happily and hopefully.

Justice's breathing soon was normal but a bit raspy still from the broken rips in his chest.

He nodded. " Yeah, maybe. "

She began worrying again.

She squealed happily, but it was a sweet sound rather than a screach.

He was fairly alright, it was just that the pain was making it difficult to keep the breathing leveled.

Shade came shambling down the hallway toward Clarity and Zex. "Okay...what happened out there!" He said, he was grabbing his own chest. He could feel the same pain as Justice.

Zex looked at Shade. " ...Justice...got kicked in the chest. "

Akira didn't know that.

Clarity tilted her head to Shade. "It's that bad?" She said softly.

Shade shuddered but kept his own breathing steady to keep Justice from sufficating as he slept. "Well that must have been a good blow to hurt Justice." He said, shaking himself. He wasn't hurt but he fully felt the pain that Justice did.

That was alright, she probably shouldn't. Broken bones can be worrisome and he had maybe three broken rips.

" Yeah...I kicked him and underestimated my own strength. "

She would worry even more if she knew.

Shade nodded. "Well, at least you've ensured he'll say yes." He leaned on a wall. "But now I have to make sure he doesn't let those broken ribs pain him into a coma." Just like how Clarity had gone into a coma due to her broken wing, the pain had been to great.

So it was fully good she didn't know that they where broken.
