Scar smiled, but then Shadow looked away, "Owen I hate you." he growled softly in English, his owner Owen had captured him and taught him English, but when Shadow wouldn't speak the man would beat him, but then Shadow escaped and didn't speak till today.

I was I freak when I was young. A monster. The equivalent of a Lycanwing. No, they thought I was a Lycanwing. So when I ran away, I was stolen by traders. They sell dragons with weird features. Slitherwings without venom. Changewings with no camouflage. Deathsongs with no voice. And me. The dragon hybrid.* he sighed and continued.
*they would put on auctions - and Vikings paid a lot to have a rare dragons head mounted on a spike. Eventually, it was my turn. They auctioned me, and Vikings wanted to sell boatloads - whole boatloads - for me. And eventually, I was sold for a couple large boats of gold, boats included. The man left with me, said, ^scurry along now, chap. Theyll have my skin for me realsing you. Run!^ and he shoved me, and fled. I ran for dear life, and ran, and ran, and eventually stopped, outside the Cove. I walked in carefully, and was attacked, due to me being part human.
After about 30 minutes of battling, they realized I was part dragon and let me in reluctantly. And Ive lived in the Cove ever since.*
