"It was more an attempt at irony, or sarcasm. Of couse, yes, these are form of humor". Elia had kept her light and calm tone.
Somehow, her tone was even more calm. She was playing with her amethyst ring.
Thalie frowned, and if someone saw the worried glances the blonde was throwing at her cousin, they would know something was wrong. The monsters and ghosts were not the main reason of her unease anymore. Thalie had almost not reacted at the comment Chara made to her.
She looks like them. She has the same creepy sparkles in her eyes. Thalie was thinking. She didn't know if Elia was a amused or upset anymore. She knew some of the thing Elia dislike was suspicion and attacks coming from strangers, especially when they came for no appearent reason. She knew Elia probably had used a humorous tone before as a way to relax herself too, and not only to calm down the ghost child. But it had not worked for any of them.

"If you want yo play that game, I could tell you that you suck at insults.Trashbag? Making fun of someone humor? It is overrused. Thousands, maybe millions of kids make the same mockeries everyday."

She thought about adding something like 'I hope you did not die a long time ago, otherway it would mean that ghosts can not gain maturity', and then something like 'Is insulting and bullying other persons the only way of distraction your still have or your main goal in your semblance of life', but she refrained, as it may go too far. Their death could be a sensible subject, and they obviously had been sarcastic too, even if the ghost humor was even worst than hers was according to them. She also did not correct their language by raising the fact that she was a woman and not a man. It was so obvious that she was a woman in the dress she was wearing that she knew it was entirely pointless.

She still could not let pass something else. Her tone suddenly become way more serious.
"Thalie and I have seen more dead children than you could even imagine. We have seen newborn exposed in the snow. We have witnessed starvation. We have seen corpses of infants rotten by the plague. Children abused and killed. We also have seen young children captured or even sometimes willingly given by their own family to be sold into slavery. I don't think this fate is always better than death. So, no, I don't think she is startled because you are a dead child, more because you are ghost". She also did not raised the fact that she was a woman and not a man, as it was so obvious in the dress she was wearing she knew that it was only a bad use of language.
Elia had the images coming into her mind when she spoke about it, some so terrible that they could make someone shiver or even vomit.

"Chill down, Elia!" said Thalie, before turning to the ghost.
"Yes, it is the first time I meet ghost and monsters, and I am not used of seeing anyone pops from nowhere except for Elia". Thalie explained.


(I said in her presentation that even if Elia was usually nice and very kind-hearted, she was now also proud, cunning and had a darker side. I think you've seen this darker side here!)

(If everybody is posting drawings of their OCs, maybe I'll do this too...But the only drawing I have of them on my computer are very old... I should probably draw them again first...)

"Most people don't care or realize much outside the world. Their lives are pretty much a schedule and has been that way from the start." Kaea said with a frown. She didn't know why she was suspicious of the government, maybe it was because of her dislike toward the overseers.

chara had a neutral expression on her face, when the woman was lecturing her about humor and insults. "oh really? im sure their insults are much worse than mine, besides, its not like i actually care" she gave a shrug. then Elia began her speech about dead children. during this charas expression went to a serious frown. after Elia was finished, chara gained a cold look in her eyes. "at least they actually got to die. and who knows? maybe they deserved it." chara wasnt insulting or trying to make a joke now. she was dead serious.

frisk stepped over to them slowly, wanting to say something to ease the tension. after a few moments of silence frisk finger gunned Elia. "hey, did you sit on a pile of sugar? cause you have a sweet a55" frisk stood there nervously, practically sweating to death. and flowey was not happy about being so close to them, he looked away annoyed. chara gave frisk a weird look.

Elia realized that Chara was serious and not trying to be insulting or joking.
"I wish I could say they deserved it. But what baby could do something that would make him deserve catching a deadly disease? Is it a newborn's fault if their mother has cheated on her husband and has the wrong father? Do children deserve to be killed for the crimes of their fathers?. And most of these children sold as slaves by their own parents were sold only because their family needed money, and they had the bad luck of being the youngest among their siblings." Her voice was still serious, but genuinly softer, and instead of the creepy sparkle of either mischief or anger, she now had some sadness in her eyes. "I don't know if it is better that they got to die, since I don't know what there is after death".

She was calmed, and her expression was now neutral again. She wondered what Chara meant by 'at least they actually got to die'. Was she a ghost because she was not trully dead? She was not sure it was a question Chara would like.

Elia was surprised by Frisk intervention. He was obviously very nervous, and she understood he was trying to ease the tension, and his awkward attempt to do so amused her.
"Thanks you", she answered to him with a wink and a seductive smile.
She moved her body to accentuate her curves. She obviously was not seriously trying to seduce him as he was a child, but it was probably not the answer he had expected and she thought it would be fun to see how he would react. After how she had overreacted to Chara's comment, he probably thought she would have an other reaction. Looking at the way he was sweating, maybe he was afraid she would punch him or insult him. Or he could still be afraid that Chara and she would start a real fight.

Thalie was rolling her eyes.

"Their lifes are scheduled from the beginning to the end?"
Florie found the idea very sad. She would hate living this kind of life. She was impulsive, always looking for new adventures.
Gael had apparently the same opinion on this as hers.
"Your world sounds depressing. I've always hated schedule! Even in school we did never follow our schedule. Right, Florie? You remember that time when we went to the cinema instead of going to our math test?"
It was true that they had skipped school quite often when they were younger, even if they rarely talked about it as their parents still didn't know about that. Gael was a good liar and always found good excuses to tell their teachers.

Frisk was kinda surprised, his face was flushed and he laughed a little. Flowey rolled his eyes as well, and Chara's face slowly changed to a neutral expression and sighed. Frisk let his arms fall to his sides and let out a breath of relief. "I think you and Chara got off from a bad start, shes like this. its best to just igore her insulting nature" Chara shot a frown at frisk, "hey!". "Anyway, shes fine once you get to know her" he gave Elia a friendly smile. How he got along with Chara and Flowey so well is a mystery. Chara was about to say something but Frisk covered her mouth, of course his hand phased through her and he almost fell over. He caught himself and smiled sheepishly. "well im glad i could A-dress this issue and make a mends."

Thalie laughed.
"Elia does not usually start fights with people, but if someone provokes her she fight back." She explained, before sighting. "She sometimes think like she should be treated like an empress by everyone".
Elia glared at her cousin.
"That's not true!"
"Obviously not. This is why you've decided to keep this dress on you".said Thalie with a smirk.
"I kept this dress on me because I like it". protested Elia. "The boy likes it too!"
She winked at Frisk once again.

"I am sorry Chara, I probably overreacted". said Elia
Though next time you meet someone you don't now, maybe you should try to not insult them immediately and things like that would not happen, thought the young woman in her head, but she did not say it.

Chara shrugged but didnt say anything. "cccoommee onn charraa" frisk pretended to whine. "you should apologize too". Chara continued to stay silent. "hey if you do.." he reached in his pocket and pulled out a bar of chocolate. Charas face lit up in surprise. Frisk slowey began peeling off the rapper, after the chocolate was exposed Chara gave in. "fine, im sorry too.." Frisk laughed and grinned, taking a bite of the chocolate. "Hey! who said you could have it?!" she tried snatching it but it phased through her hand. she let out an angry breath of air, frisk slipped it back in his pocket. " I'll let you possess me and eat it later" he said lightly. "why not noww" chara whined, Frisk shrugged. "cause you might scare people out of their skin" "hes not even here and you make that pun! that doesnt even make sense!"
