Genones are parentless dragons hatched from the super rare unhatched eggs! They're kinda like essences but the RNG is bound to step on you until you cry usually when you hatch one. And unlike here, on FR you can't dye pets. You can only submit to RNG again and use scatterscrolls, after all.. These dragons have a super 'clean' page because it says 'none' for both parents and offspring. If they're bred, their value decreases DRASTICALLY and most people won't even look at a bred genone.
Ahhh I get it now, thanks for explaining! That does make sense to me in a way. I do not usually pay attention to whether something is purebred or not :3 But I'll try to~ Again, thanks for explaining. And I dare say I usually have a good taste when it comes to dyeing :D

Yeah, I've gotten that already :3 I like that it's not so strict tbh, haha. Breeding projects for rare colors could get disgustingly frustrating because oftentimes you'd run into the issue that almost or ALL of the dragons of a certain color combination were at least distantly related...

well, purebred pets are not easily spotted since unlike those dragons on whose profile you can instantly see if a dragon has parents and/or children, here on Sylestia you'd have to check a pet's lineage completely, in order to see if all its ancestors were themed (and had the same theme). also, if you don't know a theme's color scheme, you probably wouldn't even be able to suggest that a pet is a purebred and that you have to check its lineage. =w=' so if you dye a pet and it turns out it was themed purebred, no one will blame you for that. anyway, people tend to announce that their pets are purebred, in order to avoid any confusions.
P.S.: and yes, you can dye a themed purebred even if you know it is a purebred, it's not considered a "sin", it's just that some people don't approve such behavior. but you're free to do anything you want with your pets, so no worries. >w<

man, I am so glad that no one cares about colors on Sylestia. =w= I mean, with all those random LPDs, getting for example pure black (#000000) seems almost impossible. that'd be a nightmare if everyone suddenly decided to aim for "pure" colors on their pets. XwX
