You turn over the Corenic root to the man, and reap the rewards of the copper coins and XP, and a deep purple cloak as a gift from the old man. It definitely wasnt anything too special of a secret reward, but it was nice to have something to keep a little more hidden, or just to spruce up your incredibly dull outfit.

The steets of the town were much emptier now as the day went on and players branches out more to all get ahead of each other. Some people in the town were now looking rather annoyed or frightened, but most still looked excited at the new world in front of them. The time on the clock read 2:38 P.M, meaning youd been in the bracelet for a little over 2 hours now.

Quests seemed much more available now with people already having accepted some and others wanting to just go explore. Of course now that the place was more empty, it would be easier to see any friends from your gaming group who were still lingering around here.

Phoenix kept an eye out for them, but didn't put too much into it.

Instead he went to find more quests. Maybe double up on a few and multitask to save time. He kept hte cloak around him- he rather liked the color, went with his whole purple aesthetic, and went off in search of the easier quests he could do quickly.

You managed to find several quests this time. With less people around the quests were becoming more frequent. You also spotted a person who was wearing a cloak simile to yours but colored a dull brown, and a flash of golden hair similar to griffons, although it was a common color and that was all you had to go off of from what you saw.

The three quests you managed to find were a hunting quest, another foraging quest, and a delivery quest

The hunting quest required you to find 1x Thorn boar hide, and the rewards were 3 silver and 25 xp. The reward was decent and it was likely a short one but also probably the most dangerous.

The second quest was asking for 5 IrisCluster flowers, which were described as small purple flowers commonly found in the wilds growing in clusters. The reward was small, 15 copper and 10 xp, but it was probably the fastest.

The third was was definitely the longest, a woman needed a letter delivered to Sweetbay, a town on the river east of Grandiflora, which laid on the eastern border of the country. The reward was 10 silver and 125 do as well as a special reward from the person you delivered the letter to, and you wouldnt have to come back to talk to the quest giver for the reward.

Phoenix quickly planned a route. Get the flowers, get that boar hide, deliver them back, then head for the next town after getting some supplies iwth the previous quests' money. Some food would be good.

Looking around at animals in the fields, you mostly saw deer or small animals, nothing that fit the name thornhide boar. Maybe it was possible to ask for other players where you could find one, or maybe just hope for the best while searching for the purple flowers. Of course the boars might actually reside in the forest rather than the plains, and same with the flowers as you didnt exactly get the location of most of these things

There were a ton of people you could talk to, but lost were in groups or engaged in combat. The only people who seemed available to chat with was a girl with long silvery hair sitting in the grass, two familiar looking girls chatting, or a boy around your age near the edge of the forest.

He decides to go ask the boy near the forest. He probably knew something about it. Or they could team up if they both needed to go in- two was always better then one in the unknpwn.

"Excsue me, do you know if there are any boars or iriscluster flowers in the forest?" He asks once in earshot.

The boy perked up immediately upon hearing your voice. Upon getting closer you noticed his face was incredibly familiar.

*Alex, is that you?* the boy asked with a thick Japanese accent as he started walking over to you. Upon seeing him up close you recognized him as Kai, aka MerMan, one of your gaming buddies. His face immediately lit up when he saw you

"Yeah, hey Kai." Phoenix nodded. "Great to see someone here I actually know, do you know how weird it is walking up to an NPC for a quest? I literally game so I don't have to do doscila interactions and then the next thing I know the game I'm playing makes me be a social butterfly!" He threw up his hands. "Also, i do actually need to find and kill a boar."
