Appearance:
Alyssa seems a bit taller than most woman due to her tall and elegant frame, though her build is quite the opposite, lean and wiry. She has a small nose and mouth, large, pink eyes, the color of the sunset, and rather delicate features. Her long, luxurious hair is often pulled back in a ponytail, and it is a light orange, like fire, with pink undertones. Her long wings are covered in white feathers and clearly well cared for. She doesnt have very many scars, and those that she does are easily hidden, due to healing magic.

A resilient soul forged by the fires of war, Alyssa is an expert at staying calm and collected, even in the direst of situations. Fueled by a passionate flame and guided by virtuous beliefs, she is a righteous, though stubborn, soul. While she is skilled at putting old grievances aside, burying them deep within for a later date, the angel despises traitors with a fiery passion. When she hates, she usually does so with an icy cold demeanor, instead of a hot fury, ready to pick them apart from the seams. Perhaps because of her intellect and cunningness, most often used to draw up plans for future battles.

She carries herself in a distant--and rather coldmanner, though, due to her observant nature, she tends to know more than one would expect. Despite that, she is caring, willing to sacrifice herself to help others. In the beginning, that was her nave, though beautiful, motivation--to help others--and now, it is only the reason she hasnt retired to a more peaceful lifestyle, to protect others.

Because after her most recent betrayal, Alyssa has become a shell of herself. Sometimes, melancholy feelings overwhelm her, leaving her tired and doubting. And, while shes not against showing her weaknesses, this is a vulnerability that she intends to bear by herself.

Backstory:
Alyssa grew up in the angels capitol in a family of three. The first twenty or so years of her life were fairly normal, going through school before enrolling in the military, an incredibly common profession.

There, she received combat training, slowly climbing the ranks because of her sharp mind and fighting prowess. Her life as a part of the 22nd battalion was fairly simple, spending a majority of her time at their base or patrolling the surroundings. But occasionally, she would be sent out to find information on and banish demons--usually those that were so weak that they were blinded by instinct, unable to take on a humanoid form--or even join in battle against the unholy.

Eventually, Alyssa became the leader of her own battalion. During this time, shed lost her parents to natural causes and had joined an elite force, the Valkyrie. But, now vested with her own authority, she realized just how common skirmishes were. After all, the demonic and the heavenly had never seen eye-to-eye.

Over the years, she lost several friends. But the most impactful wasnt one wasnt a death, but a betrayal, made by someone so close to her that all of her past experience meant nothing. Her second-in-command, her lover, fell, white plumage stained by the blood of her comrades.

That was twenty years ago, during the beginning of the war.
