Alex:
"Yeah?" Alex says, his concentration on the illusion faltering and causing it to flicker slightly. The beast pauses mid step, looking to Alex and then back to Dream. It snarls silently, holding its ground as Alex approaches Dream.
"Aw, come on. I wish I knew how to add sound effects." Alex mutters to himself, tapping his foot as he thinks. He's focused on the illusion and how to make it better. "Eh, perhaps I just have to learn how to throw my voice to accomplish that." He shrugs, he could already mimic others voices fairly accurately, how hard could casting voices be? Then Alex turns his attention back to Dream.
"You wanted me?" He asks sweetly.

Destiny and Payton and Nikkie are asleep.

Alex:
The monster beings to approach once more. Its spiky tail swings behind it, its dark, serrated claws and sharp, bright teeth glint in the lighting as it silently stalks forward once more.
Alex keeps well out of Dream's axe's reach. He sits down once more, sitting crisscross on the floor beside the couch and watches to see how this would play out.



I think we both know everyone else is asleep...

Alex:
Alex squeaks in surprise when Dream lunges to the beast. He pulls his knees to his chest and puts both hands over his mouth before he could make any more noise. Alex is very glad he isn't on Dream's bad side yet.
The creature is not amused. The creature fizzles out for a moment when Alex looses concentration. Then it joins back together again, though a bit different than before. The monster isn't as thought through as before, the eyes that had seemed to hold the whole of the endless universe were dull and plain, the claws not as worn, the tail and body glitching from one form to the next. It is enraged that Dream had tried to kill it and so it roars its silent challenge and then lunges forward, jaw open to break Dream in two.
"Cut! Ah. Sorry!" Alex says as he runs forward when he notices the differences. The illusion freezes mid jump. Alex tries his best to remember what the beast had looked like before and create it exactly again. "You had stubbier legs and longer body last time, right? And I've got the tail wrong. Still a bit blank and not as realistic. Eeeeeeeh, well, we can roll with it." Alex shrugs as the illusion changed to fit more in line with what it had looked like before.

Alex:
Alex shrinks away from Dream. Yeah, he hadn't thought that through, had he? He tried to remember about what he had been thinking when he had sent the illusion after Dream. He shut himself up before he could apologize, flinching away from the yell. Second time today someone's yelled at him. How lovely. Dream leaves and Alex releases a breath he hadn't known he had been holding.
"Um, what happened is that I don't think things through and can't have friends." Alex manages to keep himself from saying something insensitive but his ability to control what he says is obviously less than his ability to stay still and fall asleep. "I don't know where Dream's going. I would offer to go after him but I think he hates me now and doesn't want to see me." Alex admits as he pretends to pet his monster illusion before dispersing it.

Payton:
Payton wakes up to his name being called. He makes some incoherent noise and turns over, pulling the blanket over his head.
"Payton, you said you want to check on Alex today, right?" Payton peeks out of his blanket and starts when he sees Nikkie's grey blue eyes only inches from his own.
"I didn't mean at midnight or whatever time it is in the morning. Later, ok Nikkie?" Payton says, huddling back under the blanket.
"Ok..." Nikkie falls silent, curled up no by Payton's head in fox form. Payton sighs and closes his eyes. Just when sleep began to take hold, Nikkie started to talk again. "It's later. Do you want to go now?"
"No!" Payton says, exasperated. He puts his blanket aside as he rolls onto his stomach so when he looked at the fox, they wouldn't appear upside down. "I'll let you know when I want to go. Right now, I want to sleep. Shhhh, please." Payton gently pets the small fox. Nikkie pouts but agrees to be quiet. Payton nods his thanks and then rolls back onto his back to fall asleep. Nikkie promptly walks onto Payton's chest and lays down, staring at him.
"Now what are you doing?" Payton asks Nikkie, not in the mood to play or do anything.
"Seeing how long it takes a human to fall asleep." Nikkie replies proudly, their tail thumping against Payton's stomach a few times before falling still.

Alex:
Alex makes a face, not really wanting to say why. If he did, how would Ant react? He didnt want someone else getting mad at him right now. Hey, but if hes shooting for a personal record on how many people he can annoy in a day, might as well get everybody on board the bandwagon of getting mad at him.
... Well, I scared him with this- the illusion thing popped back up, small enough to fit in Alexs hands, and I, uh, didnt warn him about it and he took it seriously and, well, he got angry at me when he realized I had set it up and he yelled and ran off. Yeah. Sounds like thats a good summary. Alex bops the monster on the nose and then offers it to Ant, looking like a child who cant wait to show off his favorite toy.

(xD Yeah, it seems like everyones met everyone, but not so.)

Payton + Nikkie:
(From how I have read and researched things, some kitsune are like vampires. Just more cute, cabalistic and cut-throat. :P If I write something about Nikkie that doesnt seem quite spot on with kitsune, let me know. ^^)
Nikkie perks up when they hear the sound of someone invading their house. They growl softly at Dream when he comes into the room. They didnt expect Dream to turn around and leave them and Payton alone instead of attacking. Nikkie stops growling and hoots in surprise.
Humans are so strange.
Nikkie jumps off Paytons chest and silently begins to follow Dream, deciding to see what this human will do. Nikkie is even more confused when Dream heads to the kitchen and doesnt take any of the food. The food is just lying there, unguarded, and he isnt going to take it? What? What kind of being is this? One that wants to die, obviously. Nikkie, still a small fox, bounces up onto the table and sits down next to Dream, their tail swishing to fall neatly over his paws. They dont make a threatening move or sound, waiting to see what Dream does before reacting.
