"N-no." She said. Kwana stood patiently next to her. "Why you here?" She asked, with not so skillful English. "You look for girl? I heared a girl over there." She said, pointing to the north. Hitsu longed to see the man. She heard him. But she still wished she could see. It was dangerous running on new land. Kwana walked to the man's horse. Hitsu didn't move. "You wild rider?" She asked.

Looking at the girl, he couldn't tell if she was a Native American or not. If so, did she have the same background as him? He glanced her over, then at her horse. "Are you lost?" He asked in his native tongue, hoping she would understand. It seemed that she didn't speak English very well. "My horse is not tame if that is what you mean." Again he spoke in his birth language. Niyol got off his horse, placing his right hand on Yiska's left shoulder.

Yiska shifted as the humans spoke. His ears flicked toward the mare and his whinnied at her a greeting. He kept his posture in a relaxed state, to show her that he meant her no harm. Turning his head he blew air from his nostrils into Niyol's hair before looking back at the newly arrived pair.

"No." She said back with her native tongue, which was the same as his. It was a lot better talking with her birth language. "I mean, that are you a Wilder Rider, part of finding a cure to be rid of the Demons?" She asked. "Because I am." She said. She didn't think he knew she was blind. If he did...It didn't really matter. "Where are you going?" She asked the man.

Niyol was surprised that she spoke Navajo, but inside he smiled. He was glad to find someone who spoke in his own tongue. "I don't know about a cure, but I am trying to get of them." He removed his hand from Yiska's shoulder and stepped closer to the girl. He saw her near white eyes and shook his head. How was she getting around without sight, He wondered. "Come, I will take you to another who can help you." He went back to his horse and jumped on his back.

Yiska was solid as a rock while the humans spoke. Save for a few times he lowered his muzzle to nibble on some grass. He danced in place, ready to be on the move after Niyol jumped upon his back. But it was all he could do till he knew where they were going.

"Help?" She said confused. She didn't think she saw the wooden staff behind her back that the boy back in her home carved for her. "You were finding someone." She said. "Unless I am wrong." She added. "What is your name?" She asked. "Hitsu. I'm Hitsu Atma." She told him. "You didn't help begin. That's good." She said quietly. By begin, she meant help begin the Age of Slaves. Instead of the Africans, the Americans decided to try to make slaves out of Native Americans. This man was lucky. The Africans had been chased out of America and back to Africa.

Kwana walked to the blue roan. She studied him. She dug her hoof into the ground impatiently, as if to say, "Humans are slow."

Niyol really wasn't interested in the girl, he had been doing fine on his own. "If she wants to come back. She will." He said patting Yiska's neck to calm him down. He frowned as Hitsu asked questions of him. "I am Niyol and my companion is Yiska. Mount your horse I will take you to a cave where others are." He shook his head, brushing his long raven hue hair out of his face. Later he will braid it tight, to make sure it stayed out of his face.

Yiska shook his mane at Niyol's touch, but stopped dancing in place. He flicked his ears toward the mare as she approached him. He reached out his muzzle to sniff at her then shook it in agreement to her statement.

"There are others?" She asked surprised. "Kwana and I have been looking for the others." She told him. "But don't call her Kwana. Call her Cha'kwana, unless she trusts you." She told the man. "Where is the cave?" She asked as she mounted on Kwana. "Is it close by?" She said. She hoped it wasn't too far. She tried to imagine the land. She knew Kwana stuffed herself with grass, so there must be green grass. She knew it was a bit cold, so there might be a couple clouds. Then, she suddenly pictured a gun. She shook her head. "Guns..." She had long memories, bad ones, of guns.

Niyol grunted toward the young woman and clicked at Yiska. "Have your horse follow mine." He muttered, not at all happy with all the people he was running into. All females for that matter. His heels lightly touched Yiska's barrel to single walk, while his hand brush light just below his ear. The young man was enjoying his freedom but had a feeling that these young ladies were going to need his help.

Yiska turned around at a slow pace, heading back to the cave they had just left. His ears took in his companion's tone and he could feel Niyol's uneasiness. This made the stallion dance to side and chomp his mouth as if something was in it. He shook his mane again and nickered softly toward the mare to follow.

Kwana glanced at the man and his horse and followed. She hadn't seen any other horse for awhile. Her tail swooshed casually.

Hitsu still remembered the bullet digging into her skin. And remembered the laughter of the hunter. She grit her teeth. "You'll pay!" She whispered. "You'll pay." That man had killed her parents, brought her to those horrible foster parents, killed Hannah, and almost killed her! She chased the thought out of her head. She thought about the man in front of her. She didn't really know this man, but he was the only other life form beside Kwana she had seen, more like heard, for a long time.

Yiska glanced back toward the mare, then returned his attention to the path ahead. His ears and tail flicked about as if something was bothering him. Nostrils flared out as he sniffed at the air. Suddenly Yiska shied off to the right and reared up, screaming into the air. He slammed his hooves down on the ground many many times, then began stomping around as if something was on the ground he wanted to get rid of.

Niyol heard Hitsu talking to herself, making him wonder what she was thinking. However Yiska's sudden jerk drew his attention to the stallion beneath him. "Whoa..Easy, Yiska!" His finger tangled into the stallion's mane and his knees pressed tightly against the stud's barrel. "SNAKE! Keep back!" He yelled over his shoulder at Hitsu and Kwana.
